What did the arrest account and video report say?
As the Associated Press and WSMV summarized the arrest affidavit, agents asked Young to show identification at Tin Roof, and he questioned and recorded them. The affidavit account alleged that Young and others followed the agents to DawgHouse Saloon, where Young put his hands out as agents left and struck one agent on the shoulder. According to that account, the agent then pushed Young.
WSMV separately reported that video released by Young’s attorney showed an agent pushing Young, and described the footage as presenting a different account from the affidavit. The report does not establish that the video resolved every disputed fact. The affidavit’s claims remain allegations, while the footage description here is attributed to contemporary reporting.

When were the charges dropped?
On January 26, Funk said the District Attorney’s Office had reviewed the evidence and determined the charges would be dismissed. WSMV reproduced his statement: “After a review of all the evidence in this case, the Office of the District Attorney has determined that these charges will be dismissed.” Young’s attorney, Bill Ramsey, said he and Young were “gratified with the DA’s decision.” That was the attorney’s characterization, not a court finding or the prosecutor’s stated rationale.
The announcement establishes what the district attorney said would happen. The available reporting does not verify the formal court-docket entry or whether there were later court or agency actions, so it does not support a broader claim about the case’s subsequent legal status.
