LEGO House’s new Masterpiece Gallery is a temporary 2026 exhibition of 17 original builds by LEGO designers and colleagues, inspired by home, togetherness, journeys and holiday traditions. It opened on 25 September and is scheduled to run through 31 December 2026, giving the usually fan-focused gallery a different set of storytellers for the season.
What’s new in the Masterpiece Gallery?
The Masterpiece Gallery sits on the top floor of LEGO House in Billund, Denmark. It normally showcases models made by LEGO fans, with a rotating selection that brings different building styles and ideas into view. This special edition shifts the focus to LEGO designers and colleagues, who use original models to share personal stories shaped by home, culture, travel and celebrations.
LEGO House announced the exhibition on 24 September 2026. It opened the following day and is scheduled to remain through the end of the year; the fan-focused gallery is expected to return in 2027. Read LEGO House’s 2026 announcement and see the Masterpiece Gallery overview.
Builds that bring personal traditions to life
The exhibition includes 17 original creations. LEGO House’s announcement highlights examples from different backgrounds and approaches, rather than presenting a single shared style or scale.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Flowers, light and Mexican traditions: One Mexican-American creator draws inspiration from flowers, light, fire and Mexican holiday traditions.
- A journey told in shifting images: Canadian designer Bryce Duyvewaardt made an interactive lenticular mosaic inspired by travel. LEGO House says it uses more than 12,300 LEGO bricks.
- Christmas in an Australian summer: Australian designer Owen Davis reimagines the season with sunshine instead of snow, Santa in shorts and kangaroos in place of reindeer.
- Billund, BIONICLE and Santa’s daily life: Other creations include a festive journey through Billund featuring LEGO wooden ducks, a BIONICLE-inspired gathering and a playful take on what Santa might do between Christmases.
The 12,300-plus brick count applies to Duyvewaardt’s mosaic, not to the exhibition as a whole. LEGO House’s announcement does not provide a full technical catalogue of every model, so details such as dimensions and construction methods are not established for all 17 builds.

The change is about whose stories are on display, not a move away from the gallery’s focus on creativity. LEGO House CEO Rasmus Duun described the gallery’s purpose in Danish: “Masterpiece Gallery har altid handlet om at fejre kreativiteten, kreationerne og historierne, som folk bringer til live gennem LEGO klodser.” In English: “The Masterpiece Gallery has always been about celebrating the creativity, creations and stories people bring to life through LEGO bricks.” This English wording is a translation of the Danish announcement.

Planning a visit to LEGO House
The exhibition is one part of LEGO House, where visitors can also explore hands-on building activities. Because the special edition is scheduled to end in 2026, check the official visitor information for current opening details and ticket availability before planning around it: LEGO House visit and ticket information.
If the builds inspire you to make something of your own, open-ended LEGO creative bricks can be a starting point for experimenting. They are building materials, not a kit for recreating a specific Masterpiece Gallery model; LEGO House has not identified a set that reproduces these exhibits.
