Charytín Goyco compartió imágenes de su boda con Elín Ortiz y recordó la fecha como sus bodas de oro. En el mensaje publicado en octubre de 2024, dijo que cumplían 50 años de casados; las crónicas disponibles, sin embargo, no coinciden sobre el año exacto de la boda.

El 18 de octubre de 2024, People en Español informó que Goyco publicó en Instagram imágenes de su boda con Ortiz. El medio situó la celebración en el Club Deportivo Naco, en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.
Goyco acompañó el recuerdo con un mensaje dedicado a su esposo, quien había fallecido en 2016. Escribió: “Hoy cumplimos Don Elín y yo 50 años de casados, nuestras Bodas de Oro”.

En la misma publicación, Goyco expresó que Ortiz ya no estaba con ella, pero que imaginaba que celebraba desde el cielo: “El partió al cielo antes que yo, pero sé que desde allá está celebrando junto a mí este día tan especial para nosotros”.

También agradeció la vida compartida y cerró con una expresión de esperanza: “Sé que nos volveremos a encontrar, y soñaremos de nuevo y bailaremos juntos para la eternidad”. Son palabras personales de Goyco en su mensaje de aniversario.
Cuándo se casaron: las versiones publicadas no coinciden
La fecha no queda resuelta por las crónicas disponibles. En 2024, Goyco describió la ocasión como 50 años de matrimonio, lo que apunta a 1974. Univision, en cambio, informa que la pareja se casó en 1978. Además, una nota de People en Español de 2017 llamó a aquella fecha su 43.º aniversario, dato que tampoco encaja con 1978.

La retrospectiva de Univision dice que Goyco y Ortiz tuvieron tres hijos: Shalim, Sharinna y Alexander. También señala que celebraron una segunda boda en Disney World en 2007. Esa ceremonia posterior es distinta de la boda en el Club Deportivo Naco que aparece en el recuerdo compartido por Goyco.
