Crunchyroll promoted the movie as streaming “only on Crunchyroll.” That describes the announced streaming home, not necessarily identical access in every territory. Anime licensing is regional, so the film may be unavailable in some countries or may offer a different collection of dubs and subtitles from the options shown elsewhere.
Audio and subtitle options
The Crunchyroll listing identifies audio options in Japanese, English, German, Latin American Spanish, European Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Hindi and Thai.
Listed subtitle languages include English, Indonesian, Malay, German, Latin American Spanish, European Spanish, French, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Vietnamese, Russian, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Thai. These options are subject to regional availability and can change.
Alternative audio tracks are not necessarily displayed as separate movie listings. If the version you want is not obvious on the title page, start the film and check the player’s language selector. Crunchyroll also provides audio and subtitle information under the title’s details section.
Why the release was described as “finally” arriving
The Reze Arc movie first premiered theatrically in Japan on September 19, 2025, before its international theatrical rollout. For streaming viewers, however, Crunchyroll initially gave only a broad “spring 2026” window.
That changed on April 23, 2026, when Crunchyroll announced the precise April 30 streaming date. The date has now passed, and the film appears in the service’s official catalog. Articles that still describe the movie as merely “coming in spring 2026” are using the earlier announcement rather than the confirmed release information.

What to do if the movie does not appear
A missing listing does not necessarily mean the movie has been removed. Crunchyroll’s catalog is determined by account region, platform and licensing arrangements. The following checks address the most common problems:
- Search the exact title. Use the full phrase “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc,” then select the result with the official all-capitalized title.
- Check the movie filter. On the Popular page, select All Movies rather than browsing only series or episodes.
- Check playback, not only search. A title may be visible but unavailable to play in a particular country because the local license does not cover that territory.
- Review the player’s language menu. Dubs may be alternate tracks on the same page rather than separate entries.
- Disable VPNs and proxies. Crunchyroll does not support using a VPN to access content unavailable in the viewer’s licensed region. Its troubleshooting guidance also recommends disabling ad blockers and browser extensions that interfere with playback.
- Confirm where the subscription was purchased. A Crunchyroll subscription obtained through a third-party channel, such as The Roku Channel or Yango Play, may be limited to that service. It may not grant access through Crunchyroll.com or the standard Crunchyroll apps.
The practical takeaway for viewers
There is no need to keep waiting for a separate streaming announcement: Crunchyroll’s listing identifies Reze Arc as a playable movie from April 30, 2026. Start with the official title page, then verify the available language tracks and regional access from the account you intend to use.
For the most reliable information, consult Crunchyroll’s release announcement alongside the live catalog entry. The title page reflects what Crunchyroll currently offers in the viewer’s location.
