Look Back, the anime adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga one-shot, received a new trailer and main visual on April 16, 2024, according to Crunchyroll News. The film opened in Japan on June 28, 2024; its theme song is “Light song,” composed by haruka nakamura and sung by urara.
What the Look Back trailer shows
The trailer introduces the film’s story of Fujino and Kyomoto, two school-age girls whose connection grows through drawing and making manga. Fujino contributes four-panel comics to her school newspaper and is struck by classmate Kyomoto’s artistic ability. The official synopsis describes Fujino giving up drawing before the two meet on Fujino’s graduation day, when Kyomoto tells her she has long been a fan.
Crunchyroll described the April 16 release as a “first new trailer”; that is the outlet’s characterization, not an official studio label. Its report also announced the main visual and identified “Light song” as the theme.
Release date, credits and runtime
Look Back opened in Japan on June 28, 2024, and runs 58 minutes, according to the Japanese Film Database. Kiyotaka Oshiyama directed the film, wrote its screenplay and designed its characters. Studio Durian produced it, and avex pictures handled Japanese distribution. Yuumi Kawai voices Fujino, while Mizuki Yoshida voices Kyomoto.
