After Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, celebrities voiced sharply different reactions. Reports published on November 6 and November 18, 2024, captured examples of disappointment and concern as well as celebration and approval—but they are selected statements, not a comprehensive or representative measure of celebrity opinion.
What celebrities said after Trump won
The reactions below come from two November 2024 reports. Euronews published its account on November 6, shortly after the result; Forbes published a broader roundup on November 18. Together they show a range of public responses, not a tally of how many public figures supported either candidate.
Disappointment and concern
Jamie Lee Curtis
Euronews reported that Curtis expressed concern about the effects of the result on rights and urged people to continue resisting. The report quoted her saying, “But what it really means is that we wake up and fight.” Read Euronews’s November 6 account.
Stephen King and other voices in the Euronews report
Euronews also described Stephen King comparing democracy to something fragile. Its November 6 report included reactions from The View co-hosts, musician Ethel Cain, actor Wendell Pierce, and host Andy Cohen. These are examples included by that outlet, rather than a complete list of responses.
#1 Best Overall
Billie Eilish
In its November 18 roundup, Forbes reported that Eilish criticized Trump’s victory. The article presents her response among a range of comments from public figures; it does not establish a broader consensus.
Celebration, approval, and reactions to the loss
Sylvester Stallone
Forbes reported that Stallone praised Trump, using the comparison “Second George Washington” in its headline. That characterization reflects the reported praise, not a general finding about celebrity views.
Rank #2
Charles Barkley
Forbes also covered Barkley’s remarks directed at Democrats after their loss, including the phrase “Shut Up” in its headline. His comments are one individual response, not evidence of a shared position among celebrities.

The reports document selected public statements made or covered after the election. They do not provide a systematic survey, a complete inventory, or a statistical breakdown of celebrity opinion. The November 6 Euronews story focuses on reactions including concern and dismay; the November 18 Forbes article includes voices on both sides. Neither supports assigning an overall majority or consensus to either camp.
