‘Catherine’s Rose’ is a floribunda rose named for Catherine, Princess of Wales. Developed by Harkness Roses in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), it was also linked to a charitable purpose: a 2025 report said a portion of plant-sale proceeds would support cancer-survivor training through The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
What is Catherine’s Rose?
‘Catherine’s Rose’ is a rose cultivar bred by Harkness Roses in partnership with the RHS and named in honor of the Princess of Wales. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity’s sitemap lists an announcement describing the rose as bred by Harkness and named for the Princess of Wales: The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
A May 2025 article syndicated by AOL from Better Homes & Gardens described the flower as a floribunda with coral-pink petals and a fragrance reminiscent of mango and Turkish delight. It also characterized the rose as pollinator-friendly and suitable for a hedge, border, or larger container. These are reported descriptions, not independently verified growing or fragrance tests. Read the May 2025 report.
What is the rose’s charitable mission?
The same May 2025 report said that a portion of proceeds from each plant sale would go to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to establish clinician training programs. The stated aim was to improve support for cancer survivors during and after treatment. The charity’s sitemap independently confirms that an announcement about Catherine’s Rose exists, but it does not show the donation terms; the reported fundraising details should therefore be attributed to the article rather than treated as independently confirmed here.

Where was Catherine’s Rose available?
The May 2025 report described a UK launch of up to 15,000 plants through RHS Plants and Harkness Roses. It said bare-root plants were expected in autumn 2025 and whole plants in spring 2026. These were launch-era plans, not a current stock count or confirmation that either retailer has plants available now.
Current availability, price, delivery locations, and any Amazon listing have not been established. Check RHS Plants or Harkness Roses directly for current listings and shipping terms before ordering; the 2025 launch report is not a reliable guide to present inventory.
