Dylan was born on August 8, 2000. His parents married on November 18 of that year, so he was born before their wedding. He graduated from Brown University in May 2022, according to ABC News.
Carys Zeta Douglas
Carys was born on April 20, 2003. ABC News reports that her parents celebrated her graduation from Brown University in May 2025. The outlet also reports that Zeta-Jones said her daughter’s name comes from caru, a Welsh word meaning “to love.”

What do Dylan and Carys do?
Public descriptions of their work should be treated as dated reports rather than a definitive account of current jobs or future plans. In September 2026, The Daily Beast reported that Dylan was working in political media and that Carys made a professional stage debut in 2025. The report does not establish that either description captures their current plans or employment indefinitely.
That report also discussed Zeta-Jones’s response to her children being labeled “nepo babies.” As The Daily Beast recounted her comments to The Sunday Times, she said: “It’s hard for them to forge a way forward on their own.” The remark was about the challenge of finding their own paths under public scrutiny.
What have their parents said about the children’s careers?
In a 2018 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Zeta-Jones said she and Michael tried to shield Dylan and Carys from Hollywood’s pressures and talked openly as a family about acting. She recalled Dylan discussing a role and Carys auditioning for a school play, and said they would be honest if they believed acting was not right for either child. For example, an AARP interview from 2021 corroborates that Douglas and Zeta-Jones have two children together, but any ages given there refer to that period, not today.
