On 14 March 2025, PerthNow reported that Carrie Bickmore shared a photograph of herself crying on Instagram alongside a message about difficult days and feeling less alone. The account is based on PerthNow’s report; the original post was not independently verified here.
What Bickmore reportedly shared
PerthNow quoted Bickmore as writing: “I don’t often post on the days I feel crap (and there are a lot of them) because I usually go quiet. But I thought it was worth sharing.”
She also encouraged people going through hard periods: “We all have sad days/weeks/months for so many varied reasons, and if you are having a shit one, I hope tomorrow is a brighter day. You are not alone.”
The message, as reported, was a personal expression of solidarity with people who may feel isolated during difficult days. It does not establish a diagnosis or explain what prompted Bickmore’s feelings.

The story behind the photograph
PerthNow said Bickmore found the image in her camera roll. She had sent it to a friend months earlier while having what she described as a terrible day; the friend had checked in on her.
What is known about the report
Taylor Renouf’s PerthNow article was published on 14 March 2025 and said the post was shared that Friday. It described Bickmore at that time as a former television presenter and host of a HIT radio show with Tommy Little; that is a time-specific description, not confirmation of her current role.
