When did Carli Bybel and Brett Caprioni get back together?
Bybel’s October 17, 2025 birthday video showed Caprioni joining her celebration with roses. In the caption, she wrote, “Some love stories don’t end.. they pause, they grow, they heal & they return stronger,” and said their love story had begun again. Caprioni replied that he was grateful for the opportunity to love her. Their posts publicly confirmed they were together again.
Caprioni also commented: “It was always you!!! You deserve everything good this world has to offer and I’m going to do everything in my power to give you it.”
How did they reconnect?
In a December 2025 YouTube video, Bybel described visiting the New Jersey restaurant where Caprioni worked in August 2025. According to Parade’s January 3, 2026 account of the video, they planned dinner to catch up and began seeing each other again.

What is their relationship status now?
Bybel and Caprioni announced their engagement in an Instagram post on January 2, 2026. Her caption read, “Easiest yes of my life!!!!!! We’re engaged!!!!!! #loveofmylife 12.31.25.” The date in the caption indicates that Caprioni proposed on December 31, 2025.
How long had they dated before their breakup?
PEOPLE’s report, republished by AOL on October 18, 2025, says Bybel and Caprioni had known each other since kindergarten in New Jersey, began dating in 2013, and split in 2017. In a breakup video that year, Bybel said, “We are broken up. I know, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I know you guys are probably upset, but think about how I feel. It wasn’t something that was fun or ever planned or what I thought would ever happen, but it is the reality. I respect him so much as a person, and I know we’ll remain friends — hopefully forever — because we have been through so much together.”

Why is Brett Caprioni known from Vanderpump Rules?
Caprioni appeared in Season 8 as Lisa Vanderpump’s personal trainer and a waiter at SUR in West Hollywood. PEOPLE reported that he left the show after offensive social media posts resurfaced in 2020 and that he later apologized. The couple’s reunion announcement did not address those posts.
