What Cardi B announced
In an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, Cardi B said she was expecting a child with Diggs, a New England Patriots wide receiver. CBS News reported that the baby was due before the start of her “Little Miss Drama” arena tour in February 2026. The announcement came as she prepared to release her album Am I the Drama? CBS News, September 17, 2025.
Cardi B said she waited to share the news until she could “close some deals first.” She also described the two as supportive of one another and said she felt excited, happy, strong and “in a good space.” Those were her comments in the interview, not a basis for inferring any further details about her private or medical timeline.
What Stefon Diggs said
Before Patriots practice on September 17, reporters asked Diggs about the baby news. CBS Boston reported that he smiled and replied: “Oh my personal life? I told you about that. We don’t talk too much about my personal life. But I heard about that.” When asked whether he might mark the news with a touchdown celebration, he said, “We’ll see.” CBS Boston, September 17, 2025.

How the news fit their family context
It was described as the couple’s first child together, not either person’s first child. CBS News called it Cardi B’s fourth child; E! reported that she already had three children with Offset and that Diggs had a daughter, Nova, from a prior relationship. What happened after the announcement
The September 2025 announcement should not be read as a current pregnancy update. Us Weekly later reported that Cardi B and Diggs welcomed a son in November 2025. Us Weekly.
The headline’s reference to Cardi B smiling with Diggs suggests a particular photo, but the available reporting establishes Diggs smiling during his exchange with reporters—not the identity, date, location or occasion of a specific image of the couple.
