You can run encoder software on an Indian cloud server and send a continuous prerecorded meditation stream to YouTube using the channel’s Live server URL and stream key. The server provides the machine and network connection; YouTube still receives and publishes the stream. Feasibility depends on your server capacity, stable network, encoder setup, content rights, and channel eligibility. YouTube does not endorse a particular Indian cloud provider or guarantee that a stream will stay online for 24/7.
What you need before going live
- A YouTube channel enabled for live streaming. Verify the channel and check that it has no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. YouTube says first-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it well before your planned start.
- An Indian cloud server capable of sustained encoding and transmission. Confirm the server can run your chosen encoder continuously and that its network connection and data allowance suit your stream’s bitrate and duration. No provider-specific capacity, pricing, or service level is established here; check these details with the provider.
- Encoder software and the YouTube Live connection details. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses a Live server URL and stream key. Treat the key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a stream to your channel.
- Content cleared for the intended use and territories. You are responsible for the rights to the meditation recording, music, spoken performance, images, and any other included material.
- A plan for recovery and replays. Test what happens if the encoder or network disconnects, and decide whether you need a complete saved replay of the broadcast.
How to set up a 24/7 meditation stream on an Indian cloud server
- Enable YouTube live streaming and verify the channel. In YouTube Studio, complete the channel verification and live-stream activation steps. Allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation, as YouTube notes this may take that long.
- Choose and prepare the server. Select an Indian cloud server that can run your encoder and transmit continuously. Check the provider’s specifications for CPU or GPU capacity, network throughput, data-transfer limits, storage, and restart behavior. These are provider-specific, so do not assume a server marketed as suitable for general use will handle your stream continuously.
- Install and configure encoder software. Set the encoder to use the Live server URL and stream key shown for your broadcast in YouTube’s live workflow. Configure the intended audio and video source, then test the exact loop you plan to broadcast. Protect the stream key in the server configuration and logs; avoid exposing it in public screenshots or shared files.
- Check the preview before going public. Start the encoder and confirm that YouTube Live Control Room receives the stream and that the preview has the expected picture and sound. Resolve any format or connection warnings before starting the public broadcast.
- Test continuity and recovery. Observe the stream long enough to catch problems such as a source file ending unexpectedly, an audio gap, a server restart, or a dropped connection. Confirm whether the encoder reconnects automatically and whether the stream resumes as intended. Keep logs and a recovery procedure; this is operational preparation, not a YouTube uptime guarantee.
- Monitor while it runs. Watch for encoder errors, network interruptions, unexpected source changes, or exhausted storage. Make sure someone can respond if the process stops or the stream key needs to be rotated.
Will YouTube archive the stream?
YouTube’s encoder help says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that one continuous broadcast lasting longer than 12 hours will be saved as a complete replay. If a full archive matters, consider ending and restarting the broadcast at intervals below 12 hours, then check the resulting recordings in YouTube Studio. Test the archive behavior with your actual setup rather than relying on a planned schedule alone.
Copyright, music rights, and YouTube policies
YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the provider to have all necessary rights for worldwide use of live content on Google services, expressly including music licensing rights involving artists, labels, publishers, and other royalty participants. A license to download or use a track in an ordinary video does not necessarily grant permission to use it in a live stream or worldwide. Confirm that every recording, composition, voice performance, and visual asset is cleared for the territories and live-stream use you intend.
Copyright permission and monetization eligibility are separate questions. YouTube’s monetization policies apply to live streams and identify repetitive or mass-produced material, and reused content without adequate original value, as potentially ineligible. Permission to use material does not by itself establish that a channel meets reused-content standards. Original guided meditation, original music, distinctive sound design, or meaningful variation may help demonstrate original value, but no format guarantees acceptance into the YouTube Partner Program.

Can a 24/7 stream earn money or count toward YPP?
Continuous streaming does not guarantee monetization. YouTube’s YPP overview lists ad-revenue eligibility at 1,000 subscribers and either 4,000 qualified public watch hours in the previous 12 months or 10 million eligible Shorts views in 90 days, subject to policy compliance and acceptance. Those figures are YouTube’s eligibility thresholds, not a promise that hours from a particular continuous stream will qualify.
YouTube’s monetization guidance excludes live streams that are not archived from valid public watch hours. Since YouTube’s encoder guidance only expressly states that streams under 12 hours are automatically archived, do not count on a longer continuous stream to supply qualifying hours without checking the current treatment in YouTube Studio. Ad and YouTube Premium revenue on live Watch Page content also requires acceptance of the Watch Page Monetization Module.

Indian cloud server or a dedicated hardware encoder?
A cloud server lets you run encoder software remotely; a dedicated hardware encoder is a separate physical device. YouTube’s encoder documentation lists hardware encoders, but one is not required when your encoding runs on a cloud server. Compare options based on recurring hosting cost versus equipment cost, how much technical administration you want to handle, restart and recovery behavior, stream-key security, sustained bitrate and network egress, and whether you need local recording or a complete replay. No specific Indian provider, device model, current price, or service level is established here.
Troubleshooting common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check or do |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube does not receive the encoder feed | Incorrect Live server URL or stream key, inactive live streaming, or a connection problem | Recheck the URL and key in the YouTube live workflow, confirm channel activation, and inspect encoder and server logs. Keep the key private. |
| The preview appears, but picture or sound is wrong | Incorrect source selection, a problem in the loop, or an encoder configuration issue | Play the exact video and audio sources locally or on the server, inspect the encoder settings, and confirm the preview in Live Control Room before going public. |
| The stream stops after running for a while | Encoder process failure, server restart, network interruption, or a source that ended | Check process and system logs, source duration and looping behavior, server restart settings, and provider network limits. Test reconnect behavior and establish a way to restart the encoder. |
| A complete replay is missing | The broadcast exceeded the duration YouTube says is automatically archived, or the archive was not saved as expected | For a replay-dependent workflow, schedule broadcasts below 12 hours and verify saved recordings in Studio after a test. |
| Copyright claim or monetization concern | Rights do not cover the live use or territories, or the channel’s content may not meet monetization rules | Review licenses for every component and YouTube’s current copyright and monetization guidance. Permission alone does not guarantee monetization eligibility. |
Or let it run in the cloud
