No—not while YouTube’s live-streaming restriction is still active. Submitting an appeal is not documented as pausing the restriction or restoring access. Wait until YouTube removes the restriction or its stated active period ends, then check that your channel is eligible before going live.
What matters is whether the restriction is still active
YouTube’s rule applies for as long as the live-streaming restriction remains active. YouTube says a restricted account is prohibited from using another channel to livestream during that period. Trying to get around the restriction may be treated as circumvention and can lead to account termination.
An appeal and a restriction are separate things: an appeal asks YouTube to reconsider the action, but the official guidance does not say that filing one suspends enforcement. Treat the restriction as active unless YouTube tells you it has been removed or the stated restriction period has ended.
What to do while your appeal is pending
- Read the restriction notice. Check the email from YouTube for the stated reason, any duration, and the appeal instructions. YouTube says the process depends on the action taken.
- Check your channel status in YouTube Studio. Review any strikes and whether live-streaming access is currently available.
- Appeal through the route in your notice. Follow the instructions for the specific enforcement action. YouTube’s published live-streaming guidance does not give a general appeal turnaround time.
- Do not livestream from another channel to get around the restriction. YouTube expressly prohibits using another channel while the restriction remains active.
- Wait for confirmation or the end of the stated restriction period. Before resuming, verify that live-stream access is available and that your channel meets YouTube’s eligibility requirements.
Which kind of YouTube action is it?
Make sure you are following guidance for the action YouTube actually took. A live-streaming restriction, a Community Guidelines strike, a copyright action, and a YouTube Partner Program or monetization suspension are not interchangeable; their appeal processes may differ.

YouTube lists possible reasons for live-streaming restrictions that include a Community Guidelines strike or livestream removal, a match to another copyrighted live broadcast, certain situations involving minors, and other cases where channel features have been disabled. Live-streaming access may be turned off temporarily or permanently. The notice is the best guide to the specific reason and appeal route.
When can you livestream again?
YouTube says a channel needs to be verified and have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to be eligible to livestream. The 90-day eligibility condition is not the duration of every restriction. If a live-streaming restriction results from a strike, YouTube’s live-streaming start guidance says the strike prevents livestreaming for 14 days; other restrictions can have different durations or be permanent.

No. StreamNeo keeps uploaded videos playing as a YouTube livestream from the cloud, but it cannot lift or bypass an active YouTube restriction. Once your channel is eligible again, you can learn about StreamNeo; if you choose to use it, you upload a recording or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live.
