Yes—but only when your plan, title and access method support downloads. Bell’s current Crave information (checked August 18, 2026) identifies Crave Premium as including offline downloads; Standard With Ads does not. Downloads are intended for the Crave mobile app on a supported phone or tablet, not ordinary desktop-browser viewing.
Which Crave plan allows offline downloads?

Bell says Premium permits up to 20 pieces of content across five devices registered for offline downloads at a time. That is a standalone Crave limit; do not confuse it with a provider’s separate limit. Plan names and packaging change, so check the live terms at Crave.ca before subscribing. Bell’s advertised prices can be provider-specific rather than universal direct-Crave prices.
A Premium subscription still does not make every programme downloadable. Licensing can block downloads for particular movies, episodes, live events or add-on content.

- Install or update the official Crave app on a compatible iPhone, iPad or Android phone/tablet.
- Sign in to the account with a plan that includes downloads.
- Open the movie or episode and look for its Download control.
- Start the download on Wi-Fi, preferably while the device is charging.
- Open the app’s Downloads area and wait until the item is complete.
- Before travelling, turn off both Wi-Fi and cellular data (or enable airplane mode) and test playback.
Button names and menu placement can change with app versions. If there is no Download control, the title, plan, device or access method may not qualify.

Where can you watch Crave offline?

The Canadian App Store listing describes Crave as available only in Canada. Installing Crave on a TV or streaming box therefore should not be confused with storing videos for offline playback.
Provider subscriptions are a different download system
If you receive Crave through a television or telecom provider, identify the app you actually use before applying standalone-Crave limits.

Bell Fibe TV app
Bell’s Download and Go feature can download subscription on-demand shows and movies, including Crave content when you have the relevant channel subscription. Bell states support for Apple iOS 12+ and Android 7+ devices, up to 10 shows or movies per account, and expiry between 48 hours and 30 days. Downloads must be made in Canada; some programmes may need to be downloaded at home over Bell Wi-Fi. These terms do not establish an expiry period for downloads made in the standalone Crave app.

Why is there no Download button?
- You are on Standard With Ads.
- The particular title is not licensed for download.
- You are using the website, a TV app or a provider app with different rules.
- The app or operating system needs an update.
- Your device has insufficient storage or you have reached a registered-device limit.
- The title is unavailable through your provider’s version of Crave.
If a completed download will not play offline
- Reconnect briefly and confirm you are still signed in and your subscription is active.
- Check the Downloads section for a fully completed item, not a partial transfer.
- Delete the failed item and download it again over reliable Wi-Fi.
- Update the Crave app and your device software, and free storage if necessary.
- If the registered-device allowance is full, remove an old device if the app provides that option.
- Repeat the airplane-mode test before leaving.
Crave’s current public information confirms the download feature but does not state a universal standalone-download expiry period. Licensing or account validation may still require an occasional internet connection, so do not treat downloads as permanent.
Will Crave downloads work on a plane or abroad?
Download while you are in Canada and test the exact title with Wi-Fi and cellular data disabled. Because Crave is presented as a Canada-only service and provider downloads can have explicit Canadian download restrictions, playback abroad should be treated as something to verify—not a guarantee. Keep a backup entertainment option and do not rely on a VPN to bypass geographic rules.

The practical verdict
For offline viewing, the clearest fit is Crave Premium in the mobile app on a supported phone or tablet. Standard With Ads is a poor choice if downloads are essential; laptop-only and TV-only viewers should not assume they can save Crave videos. Provider customers should check whether Bell Fibe TV, Rogers, SaskTel or another provider supplies its own download feature and then follow that app’s limits, expiry and Canadian-use requirements.
