No. Viewers cannot send Super Thanks while a YouTube livestream is live, even if it runs 24/7. During an eligible live stream, viewers may instead be able to use Super Chat or Super Stickers. After the stream ends, Super Thanks may be available on its archived long-form video if the channel and replay meet YouTube’s eligibility rules.
Why Super Thanks is unavailable while the stream is live
YouTube separates its Supers features by content type. Super Thanks is for eligible long-form videos and Shorts; live streams and Premieres are ineligible for it while live. A continuous broadcast has the same restriction as any other live stream: running around the clock does not create an exception. YouTube’s Super Thanks eligibility rules describe the exclusion and note that archived long-form videos may be eligible afterward.

These products have separate eligibility and availability conditions. YouTube’s Supers setup guide distinguishes live streams and Premieres, which can surface Super Chat and Super Stickers, from long-form videos and Shorts, which can surface Super Thanks.
Can viewers send Super Thanks on the replay?
Possibly. Once a livestream ends and an archived long-form video is available, that replay may qualify for Super Thanks. Archiving does not automatically enable the feature: both the channel and the individual video must meet YouTube’s rules.

Channel requirements
YouTube says creators must meet minimum fan-funding requirements, live in a supported location, comply with applicable terms and policies—including the Commerce Product Module where applicable—and avoid disqualifying channel conditions. Examples YouTube gives include a channel set as Made for Kids or one with a significant number of ineligible videos; some music channels may also be ineligible. To check account-specific access, look for the Supers tab under Earn in YouTube Studio.
Video restrictions
YouTube lists age-restricted, unlisted and private videos; Made for Kids videos; copyright-claimed videos; YouTube Giving fundraiser videos; and videos with comments turned off as ineligible. A live stream or Premiere is also ineligible while live. An archived replay may qualify only if it clears the other conditions too.

Where viewers can find live Supers
Live chat is available on YouTube watch pages, not on embedded players, according to YouTube’s live chat viewer help. Even on a watch page, Super Chat or Super Stickers may not be available to every viewer or in every chat. For example, access to chat features may be restricted in subscriber-only chats.
Super Thanks is appreciation, not a donation
YouTube Help says, “Super Thanks isn’t a crowdfunding or donation tool.” It is a way for viewers to show extra gratitude on eligible videos. YouTube states that creators receive 70% of Super Thanks revenue recognized by Google, calculated after local sales tax and applicable iOS App Store fees are deducted; that figure applies to Super Thanks, not automatically to other YouTube monetization products.
