No—not as a documented Larix Broadcaster feature. Larix is presented by Softvelum as a mobile live encoder: it captures live video and sends it to a streaming destination. The official materials reviewed explain connecting Larix to YouTube Live, but do not document choosing prerecorded files or looping a playlist inside the app. If your goal is continuous prerecorded programming, use a separate playout workflow rather than treating Larix as a video player.
What Larix does—and what it does not document
Larix Broadcaster is designed to encode and transmit a live feed from a mobile device. Softvelum’s Larix documentation covers the app and its streaming setup. The reviewed official materials do not describe selecting a video from the phone and repeating it as a 24/7 YouTube broadcast.
That is a documentation-based conclusion, not a claim that every Larix version has been exhaustively tested. A connection from Larix to YouTube proves that the app can send an encoder feed; it does not establish prerecorded-file playout or playlist looping.
How a Larix-to-YouTube connection works
YouTube provides an encoder with a server URL and stream key. YouTube’s current guidance says: “To start streaming, enter your YouTube Live server URL and stream key into your encoder.” Retrieve the active values in YouTube Studio when setting up your stream; do not rely on an old example if Studio shows different details. Softvelum’s 2019 Larix guide gives rtmp://a.rtmp.youtube.com/live2 as an example server and describes combining the server address with the stream name or key for Larix’s connection URL. Treat that as an example, not a substitute for the values shown in your YouTube Studio account. The guide is at Softvelum’s Larix-to-YouTube setup page.
A documented server-side option for looping prerecorded video
Softvelum documents prerecorded playout through Nimble Streamer Playout, a separate server-side product—not a Larix setting. Its playlist workflow can combine video-on-demand files and live sources, and configure VOD playback to repeat. The playout specification is at Nimble Streamer Playout.

This is a more technical path than starting a mobile encoder. Softvelum’s setup example requires Nimble Streamer, a playlist configuration, and the Live Transcoder package. Input files may need consistent parameters; transcoding may be needed when their parameters differ. Review hosting and licensing requirements, playlist and schedule controls, and the work required to operate a server before choosing it. For a YouTube-only cloud alternative

Plan for long-running streams and archives
Do not assume a continuous 24-hour stream will automatically become a complete YouTube archive. YouTube Help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; the cited guidance does not promise automatic archiving for one uninterrupted 24/7 stream. See YouTube’s encoder and archive guidance. If retaining a recording matters, plan how you will preserve the source video and check YouTube’s current live-stream guidance for your intended format.

- You want to broadcast yourself live from a phone: Larix’s documented role is mobile capture and encoding; set it up with the server URL and stream key from YouTube Studio.
- You want to repeat prerecorded files with server control: investigate Nimble Streamer Playout and its playlist, hosting, and Live Transcoder requirements.
- You want uploaded videos to run continuously without keeping home equipment on: StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud option; follow its upload, stream-key, and go-live workflow.
