Yes, but the experience depends on what “personalize” means. Murmur can generate an original instrumental soundtrack from a mood description, then let you reshape the arrangement while it keeps playing. On an iPhone, its on-device system composes second by second, so you can bring layers in or out as your scene, edit, or audience mood changes. That is real-time musical adaptation. It is not evidence of biometric mood detection, automatic emotion recognition, or vocal generation.

The live mix exposes layers such as beat, bass, keys, pads, guitar, synth, strings, brass, and arpeggios. - Describe the scene before naming technical details. Write the emotional movement, setting, and energy. For example: “quiet dawn over an empty harbor, reflective and slow, leaving space for narration.”
- Add musical ingredients. Specify a starting instrument, desired tempo or rhythmic feel, and texture. A prompt such as “soft piano, restrained pulse, warm pads, gradual lift, no busy lead” gives the generator several dimensions to interpret.
- Start the live set. Pick a starting instrument and tap Go Live. Murmur streams an instrumental set on the iPhone while composing second by second.
- Perform the emotional arc. Keep beat and bass restrained under spoken words, introduce pads for a wider sense of space, and bring in strings or arpeggios when the visual sequence needs momentum. Remove layers before a cut that needs silence or attention.
- Capture the result for the edit. Murmur can export high-quality WAV files. You can AirDrop them to Final Cut Pro, Premiere, or Unity, or share directly to TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Rights And Consent For Published Videos
Murmur says it generates 100% original, copyright-free instrumental loops and describes them as royalty-free for commercial edits, including uses such as YouTube, TikTok, indie games, and podcasts. Keep a record of the product terms that apply when you create and export a cue, because platform rules and vendor terms can change.
If you add a human voice, a guest performance, or an external sample to a Murmur soundtrack, obtain the necessary consent and permissions for that material separately. Murmur’s instrumental description does not grant rights to someone else’s voice or recording. Also review the terms of the destination platform before publishing or monetizing the finished video.
