Call of Duty: Mobile Season 5 — Primal Reckoning launched May 28, 2025, at 5 PM PT. Its announced additions included the Zoo multiplayer map, the VMP submachine gun, Buy Machines on Isolated in Battle Royale, and a NieR:Automata event. What did Primal Reckoning add?
The publisher’s season announcement highlighted a mix of multiplayer, Battle Royale, progression, and cosmetic content. It did not mean that every event or Store item would remain obtainable after its original availability window.
- Zoo: A multiplayer map making its Call of Duty: Mobile debut.
- VMP: A new submachine gun featured in the season package.
- Buy Machines: Added to Battle Royale on Isolated.
- Cosmetics and progression: Battle Pass content, Challenge Pass rewards, Combat Axe and Smoke Grenade reskins, and Store draws.
How did the NieR:Automata event work?
The event used objectives to award action points, which players spent to advance along a branching route. Checkpoints, counterattack routes, and Skill Chips opened routes through the path. The event’s listed earnable rewards included Kui Ji — YoRHa No. 9 Type S and four NieR-themed melee weapons.

What is the Zoo map?
Call of Duty described Zoo as a mid-sized, abandoned zoo with a monorail track, animal pens, gift shops, and overgrown attractions. The map had appeared in the original Call of Duty: Black Ops before making its mobile debut in Primal Reckoning. This description reflects the publisher’s announcement, not independent gameplay testing. See Call of Duty’s map and season details.
