Bre Tiesi says filming Nick Cannon’s upcoming Netflix docuseries was “awful” and “the worst thing I’ve ever done.” In an October 6, 2026 appearance on Lip Service, she described feeling exposed by the project and said she feared that staying away would leave someone else to shape a story about her without her perspective.
What Bre Tiesi said about filming
Tiesi made the comments during episode 574 of Angela Yee’s Lip Service. She called filming “awful” and “the worst thing I’ve ever done,” adding that she would rather return to Malaysia than do it again. The episode’s transcript is automatically generated and may contain errors, so the audio and transcript are the primary reference for the exchange.
Earlier in the conversation, Tiesi said cameras entered her home and described her feelings about taking part: “No, I didn’t really agree to this. I was forced into this.” That is her account of the experience; it does not independently establish that the production coerced her. She explained that she worried that not participating could allow another version of events to be told without her, and that viewers would not see her own interactions.
Why she felt caught between participating and opting out
In a separate appearance on Get Real, Tiesi contrasted Selling Sunset with a series centered on her everyday family life. She said the newer project involved her child and people she did not want involved, and described the choice as “damned if you do, damned if you don’t”: she was not thrilled to film, but did not want someone else speaking for her. That explanation is her perspective on the trade-off, not a claim about what every participant experienced.

What Netflix’s docuseries is about
Netflix describes the project as an intimate look at Cannon raising 12 children and co-parenting with six mothers while balancing his entertainment career. Those figures come from Netflix’s published series description, rather than an independent audit. Netflix named Velvet Hammer Media as producer and Pantheon Media Group as backing the project.
The announcement also lists executive producers Rebecca Quinn, Jen O’Connell, Simon Thomas, Trifari Williams, Rob Ford, and Steve Michaels. Netflix’s May 13, 2026 announcement calls it a new docuseries, but does not provide a final title.
