YG Entertainment described it as BLACKPINK’s first new full-group song in two years and eight months—not quite three years. The song later appeared on the group’s 2026 mini album DEADLINE.
When did BLACKPINK release “JUMP”?
BLACKPINK debuted “JUMP” live at the Goyang opening of the DEADLINE world tour on July 5, 2025. YG Entertainment said the song was pre-released at the Goyang concerts on July 5 and 6. On July 8, the label announced the official release date: July 11 at 1 p.m. Korea Standard Time, alongside a music video directed by Dave Meyers. YG’s discography and Apple Music’s U.S. listing date the single July 11.
YG’s July 5 announcement said the release date had not yet been announced. That was true at the time; the label confirmed the date three days later.
Is “JUMP” a song or an album?
“JUMP” first arrived as a digital single, not as a full-group album. Apple Music lists it as a one-song release with a two-minute duration and ℗ 2025 YG Entertainment. It was later included on DEADLINE, BLACKPINK’s third mini album, released February 27, 2026.

YG lists five tracks on DEADLINE: “JUMP,” “GO,” “Me and my,” “Champion,” and “Fxxxboy.” The album page includes a “BUY ALBUM” link to YG SELECT, though the listing alone does not establish current stock or which physical editions are available. For digital listening, Apple Music’s linked catalog is for the U.S.; availability can vary by territory. YG’s discography page also has a video player.
What does “first track in 3 years” mean?
The headline phrase rounds off a more precise interval. In its July 5, 2025 announcement, YG called “JUMP” BLACKPINK’s first new full-group song in two years and eight months. The group’s preceding listed full album, BORN PINK, is dated September 16, 2022. The interval refers to a new full-group song, not to the release of a new full-group album.

What does “JUMP” sound like?
YG calls “JUMP” BLACKPINK’s first Hardstyle song. The label describes an opening guitar riff with a Western-film feel, powerful beats, an unpredictable hook, and expressive vocal lines. Those are the label’s descriptions of the track. In its later review of DEADLINE, the Associated Press called “JUMP” a “hardstyle, Eurodance extravaganza”—a separate critical description, not evidence of universal agreement on genre.
