Angela Rummans addressed her breakup with fellow Big Brother alum Tyler Crispen in a YouTube update discussed by Big Brother Network on February 2, 2023. She said their relationship had been rocky for about a year, that they tried couples therapy before officially separating in August, and that she went to Bali afterward.
Why Angela spoke about the breakup
Angela said she had not responded earlier to recurring questions about why she was in Bali and where Tyler was. Big Brother Network described her update as an emotional 13-minute video and quoted her explaining what was happening when she left: “To be honest, I came to Bali at a time where I was really broken.”
She said both of them were unhappy: “I wasn’t happy. And Tyler wasn’t happy. This had just kind of gone south in so many ways.”
What Angela said about their relationship
Angela described reality television as taxing and said the relationship had already been rocky during the preceding year. She said one reason she went on The Challenge was that she hoped things would be great again when she returned. According to the report, they had a few good months after she came back, but the relationship became rocky again.

Where Angela and Tyler went after separating
Big Brother Network reported that Angela flew to Bali after the separation and Tyler returned to their home in Hilton Head. The account summarizes and quotes her video; it is not a complete verified transcript of everything she said.
