Where are the surviving cast members now?
Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor)
Garth released her memoir, I Choose Me: Chasing Joy, Finding Purpose & Embracing Reinvention, in April 2026. It includes her own reflections on relationships with her co-stars and her experiences; it should be read as Garth’s perspective, not as a complete account agreed upon by the cast. She has also continued podcast work, according to a September 2026 cast retrospective.
Tori Spelling (Donna Martin)
Spelling’s recent acting work includes the 2025 Lifetime thriller Abducted in the Everglades. In July 2026, she announced she was leaving 9021OMG, the rewatch podcast she had co-hosted with Garth. Garth and producer Amy Sugarman said the podcast would continue through seasons nine and ten without Spelling. Garth responded to the decision: “I’m really excited for her to choose herself.”

What was the show about, beyond the cast?
The Television Academy notes that Beverly Hills, 90210 took on subjects including learning disabilities, prejudice, divorce, date rape, sexuality, alcoholism and drug use. Its legacy is also debated: the show’s predominantly white, upper-income setting shaped whose lives it centered, and non-white characters were represented in limited ways. Both the issues it brought into a popular teen drama and the limits of its perspective are part of its history.
