Bethenny Frankel made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway debut at the W South Beach in Miami during Swim Week 2025. She has said she recently added thong swimwear to her personal repertoire, but the published runway coverage does not identify any of her three named looks as a thong bikini or specify an exact thong-bikini product.
When and where Frankel walked the runway
Frankel joined the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit show at the W South Beach in Miami during Swim Week 2025. SI Lifestyle identified the appearance as her runway debut on June 2, 2025; SI Swimsuit’s June 2025 coverage and its later retrospective also describe the 2025 event.
This was not the separate 2023 SI Swimsuit runway event. The 2023 guide scheduled that show for July 7 at 9:30 p.m. ET and said it would stream on SI Swimsuit’s official YouTube page.

- A black-and-white polka-dot two-piece by Toxic Sadie. SI’s 2025 follow-up described a Toxic Sadie bikini as pink-and-black polka dot.
- A high-cut animal-print one-piece by Norma Kamali.
The descriptions come from separate SI Swimsuit coverage, so the retrospective’s black-and-white description and the 2025 follow-up’s pink-and-black description should not be treated as a single, unambiguous color identification.
Did Frankel wear a thong bikini on the runway?
The cited coverage does not establish that any specific runway look was a thong bikini. In a December Swim Edit newsletter Q&A, quoted later by SI Swimsuit, Frankel said: “My swimsuit style is like a snowflake, no two are the same.” She continued: “I will rock a bandeau, a triangle, a monokini, a classic mom one-piece and, thanks to SI [Swimsuit], I recently added thong to my repertoire. I’m an equal opportunity swimsuit employer.”

That is a statement about her broader swimsuit style, not an identification of a particular runway garment. SI’s later list names three looks but does not assign any of them a thong cut or provide a product name or model. The available reporting therefore does not support naming an exact thong bikini she wore.
Other outfit details reported after the show
In a separate post-event video, SI Swimsuit described Frankel wearing the Cross-Back Swimsuit in Zebra Print from the SI Swimsuit collection with Oh Polly, listed at $105 in that 2025 article, along with a white Logo Cropped T-Shirt listed at $60. These are details from that report, not proof that the zebra-print swimsuit was one of the three runway looks. The listed prices and availability were reported in 2025 and may have changed.

What Frankel said about the event
After the Miami appearance, Frankel described the show’s atmosphere to SI Lifestyle: “The resounding theme and culture [of SI Swimsuit] is women supporting women.” She also said, “I have never seen the level of female support that I experienced [there].”

SI Swimsuit reported on June 5, 2025, that its official TikTok video of Frankel’s runway moment had drawn over 10 million views by then. That is the publisher’s count at the time of its article, not a current view total. In the same follow-up, SI quoted Frankel from a Page Six interview: “If your heart says yes, go for it. Don’t let anyone else decide what you can or can’t do.”
