2. Gyre: hosted prerecorded-video streaming
YouTube’s encoder guide describes Gyre as a cloud service for 24/7 streams of prerecorded videos, with Full HD and 4K claims in YouTube’s vendor description. Check its current plans, scheduling controls and recovery behavior before choosing it; those details are not established by the YouTube listing.
3. Upstream: browser-based cloud studio
YouTube describes Upstream as a browser-based cloud studio for 24/7 streams. It may suit a workflow managed through a browser rather than a local encoder, but the listing does not independently establish its reliability, current plan limits or exact automation controls.

4. AJA HELO Plus: standalone hardware encoder
YouTube identifies the AJA HELO Plus as a hardware encoder with scheduled prerecorded playback through PlayToStream. It is a physical-device route that adds setup and purchase cost. Its multichannel-audio listing does not establish that YouTube viewers can select alternate live-language tracks.
5. Local software encoder
YouTube supports encoder-based streaming and lists software as one category. A local encoder gives a producer a direct production workflow, but it also means the computer, encoder software and network connection need to remain available for the stream. The cited material does not identify a specific software encoder as a complete 24/7 prerecorded-playback service.

What language options YouTube documents for live streams
Do not assume that YouTube’s multi-language audio for uploaded videos also gives viewers selectable alternate audio during a livestream. YouTube’s announcement describes adding alternate audio tracks to uploaded videos through the Subtitles Editor; it is not documentation of selectable alternate audio on live broadcasts.
There is a separate, narrower constraint for YouTube’s documented HLS ingestion path: Google says, “The supported audio codec is AAC, and only single-track audio is supported.” Treat this as a limit on that HLS path, not as a universal statement about every YouTube live feature or protocol.

YouTube reported that more than 15 percent of watch time on videos from creators testing multi-language dubbed videos came from views in a non-primary language. It also reported an average of more than 2 million hours of dubbed video watched daily during January 2023, and more than 3,500 multi-language videos across over 40 languages in early tests by that time. These are historical early-test figures, not forecasts for an individual channel or current performance guarantees.

Caption overlays with StreamFluent
StreamFluent says its browser source can display up to two caption languages. Its described overlay shows the selected caption languages to everyone watching; it does not itself give each viewer an individual language choice. Viewer-specific selection would require a separate integration. Confirm current plan details and test how the overlay appears on the devices your audience uses.
Translated captions and dubbed audio with MJET Labs
MJET Labs describes OBS/RTMP integration with cloud-processed translated captions and dubbed audio. Its vendor page says translated audio typically follows the stream by about 30 seconds; that is a vendor claim, not an independent measurement. Confirm actual delay, translation quality, available languages, viewer access and usage cost in a pilot.
Captions and dubbed audio solve different access needs. Captions can let viewers read translated speech while retaining the original audio; dubbing provides translated speech but may arrive later. Check whether the selected tool gives each viewer a choice or sends the same language presentation to everyone.
How to choose a setup
- Minimize local infrastructure: start with a hosted cloud service for the continuous feed.
- Schedule prerecorded playback without a computer: compare a cloud service with the AJA HELO Plus hardware workflow; include hardware purchase and setup in the decision.
- Keep production controls local: use an encoder workflow if your production requires it, and account for the computer and network needing to remain available.
- Add readable language access: evaluate caption placement, supported languages and whether the same overlay is shown to all viewers.
- Add dubbed audio: test language quality and delay, and establish how viewers reach the translated audio.
- Estimate the whole cost: check current usage limits and plans directly with each vendor. Vendor plan prices and feature descriptions can change, and the available descriptions do not support a verified total-cost comparison.
Run a small test before committing
- Make a private or unlisted test broadcast. Use the same encoder, stream path and language workflow you expect to use publicly.
- Test continuity. Confirm what happens when the source connection drops and whether playback resumes as intended; do not infer recovery behavior from a product category or listing.
- Check the language experience. Verify captions are readable, translated audio is understandable, and the delay is acceptable for your program.
- Check viewer access. Open the stream as a viewer and confirm the intended language is reachable, especially if you expect individual viewers to choose it.
- Confirm rights and channel policies. Make sure you have rights to the video, music and other material in the loop. A 24/7 schedule does not itself establish permission to rebroadcast content or compliance with YouTube policies.
- Review the full operating cost. Include the streaming service or hardware, language-tool usage and any infrastructure you must keep running.
