The right choice depends on audience size, how registrations and follow-ups connect to your CRM, the engagement data you need, and whether you run live, on-demand, or automated events. For B2B marketing and training, Livestorm is a natural shortlist candidate; for teams already standardized on Zoom, Zoom Webinars may be simpler to adopt; and enterprise demand-generation programs may warrant ON24. Treat these as use-case fits, not independently tested rankings.
What marketers should compare first
Start with the work the platform must do before, during, and after an event. A webinar room that handles the audience but leaves registration data, follow-up, or attribution disconnected may add work rather than improve the campaign.
- Capacity and billing: Estimate the number of concurrent attendees you need, then check the plan limit and whether charges are based on organizers, audience capacity, attendee credits, or add-ons. Published comparisons describe Livestorm’s pricing as credit-based and GoTo and Zoom as using tier or add-on models; confirm the current plan assumptions directly with each vendor.
- Marketing workflow: Check branded registration pages, reminder emails, follow-up, source tracking, and whether attendee records reach your CRM or marketing automation system in the way your team needs.
- Engagement and measurement: Identify whether you need polls, Q&A, chat, surveys, analytics, engagement scoring, or attribution. A feature list is not the same as proof that a platform will measure the outcomes your team cares about.
- Event format: Decide whether the program is live-only or also needs replay, on-demand access, or a simulated-live experience. Confirm how each format is delivered and measured.
- Branding and operational complexity: A small team may value a short setup path, while an enterprise program may need multi-event journeys, governance, integrations, and reporting across campaigns.
Which webinar platforms fit which marketing use cases?
| Platform | Potential fit | What the available comparison material says |
|---|---|---|
| Livestorm | B2B marketing and training webinars | Livestorm’s 2026 comparison positions the service for marketing and training and describes attendee-credit pricing. Treat those as vendor statements, not an independent performance assessment; verify the plan and capacity that fit your event. |
| Zoom Webinars | Teams already using Zoom | A 2025 comparison describes chat, reactions, Q&A, polls, and surveys. A 2026 comparison presents familiarity with Zoom as a practical reason to consider it. The 2025 pricing details are not reliable evidence of current total cost, which can depend on the base subscription and webinar add-on. |
| GoTo Webinar | Recurring business programs | GoTo’s official plan page lists reminders and follow-ups, polls, Live Q&A, and analytics, with higher plans adding branding, recordings, and other capabilities. |
| Demio | Small-business marketing webinars | 2026 comparison material identifies it as an SMB marketing option and discusses live and on-demand scenarios. Check attendee limits and the workflow available on the specific plan. |
| ON24 | Enterprise demand generation | ON24’s 2026 comparison describes live, simulive, and on-demand experiences, CRM and marketing automation integrations, content hubs, real-time analytics, engagement scoring, attribution, and AI content repurposing. These are ON24’s own descriptions. |
| Goldcast | Branded, event-style programs | ON24’s comparison describes multi-session and multi-track events, sponsor activations, and marketing or CRM integrations. That description comes from a competitor’s roundup, so confirm the current capabilities directly. |
| WebinarJam | Creator-led or offer-led sales webinars | 2026 comparisons describe in-session offer, timer, and call-to-action tools. One comparison says pricing is annual-only and tiered by capacity, while another gives a different starting price; verify current commercial terms before deciding. |
GoTo Webinar: compare plans by the program you run
GoTo’s official plan page distinguishes its plans by participant capacity and included capabilities. The page’s captured text does not show exact prices, so compare current checkout terms rather than relying on older quoted prices.
| Plan | Participant capacity shown | Capabilities listed |
|---|---|---|
| Reach | Up to 500 participants; one organizer seat | Reporting and analytics, automated email reminders and follow-ups, polls, and Live Q&A. |
| Elevate | Up to 1,000 participants | Reach capabilities plus branded webinars, custom URLs, cloud recordings, AI summaries and transcripts, recordings run as live events, and breakout rooms. |
| Complete | Up to 3,000 participants, with unlimited-attendee streaming also listed | Paid events and registration-source tracking, in addition to capabilities listed at lower levels. |
GoTo also offers a free trial. The participant figures and features above reflect GoTo’s plan page; confirm current availability and terms for your account before purchase.

Choose by campaign shape, not by a universal ranking
For a small team testing a marketing webinar
Shortlist Demio and Livestorm, then compare registration-to-follow-up workflow, the expected audience against plan limits, and whether the event will be live or on-demand. Livestorm’s credit-based pricing model makes it particularly important to understand what counts toward usage before estimating recurring campaign costs.
For a team already committed to Zoom
Evaluate Zoom Webinars against the cost and administration of your existing Zoom setup plus the webinar add-on you need. Familiarity can reduce the friction of adoption, but it does not establish that Zoom is the most economical option or has the marketing workflow your team requires.

For a recurring business webinar program
Compare GoTo’s plan limits with your expected attendance and the follow-up, reporting, and engagement features each event needs. If branding, source tracking, or larger capacity is essential, check which plan includes it rather than assuming features carry across every tier.
For enterprise demand generation
Consider ON24 when webinars are part of a broader digital engagement program and your team needs to connect live or on-demand content with CRM, marketing automation, account-level insight, and attribution. Its feature descriptions come from ON24 itself, so validate how each capability works with your own systems and measurement model.

Estimate total cost before committing
Do not compare headline prices without matching the underlying assumptions. An attendee-credit plan, an audience-capacity tier, and a base subscription plus add-on are different billing models. Build the estimate around your expected concurrent audience, number of organizers, event frequency, and the live, replay, or on-demand features you will actually use.
- Check the current price and billing period on the vendor’s own plan page.
- Confirm whether the audience limit means registered people, attendees, or simultaneous participants.
- Ask how overages, add-ons, extra organizers, recordings, and branded pages affect the bill.
- For annual-only offers, include the commitment period in the comparison instead of treating a displayed monthly equivalent as a monthly cancellation option.
Pricing in comparison articles is time-sensitive and may be based on different plan assumptions. In particular, do not use Zoom’s 2025 comparison pricing as a current quote; and the reviewed GoTo plan-page text lists capabilities but no exact prices.

Run a focused evaluation before you switch
- Write down the use case. Record audience size, organizer count, event frequency, format, branding needs, and the marketing systems that must receive attendee data.
- Map the attendee journey. Check registration, reminders, joining, Q&A or polls, replay access, and follow-up. Look for manual steps or handoffs between systems.
- Test measurement against a real campaign question. Decide what source, engagement, or conversion information you need after the webinar, then verify the platform can deliver it in a usable form.
- Compare the complete plan cost. Match the same audience and feature requirements across vendors, including add-ons, capacity limits, and billing commitments.
- Confirm operational fit. Have the people who will host, promote, and analyze the event assess the workflow before committing to a recurring program.
Webinars’ strategic role: one vendor-reported data point
Livestorm’s 2026 comparison attributes a finding to its 2026 Webinar Benchmark Report: 51.2% of go-to-market practitioners called webinars critical or very important to their strategy. This is a figure reported by Livestorm, not an independently validated statistic here; use it as context, not as proof that a webinar program will work for a particular business.
For always-on YouTube video, not a webinar room
StreamNeo is a separate tool for keeping an uploaded video or playlist live on YouTube around the clock; it is not a webinar platform and does not stream from a camera. If that is the job you need done, upload your recording, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. The cloud keeps the loop running without leaving a computer on at home, supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. See StreamNeo or start the free day.
