For a simple, single-source YouTube stream that needs desktop software such as OBS, shortlist an Intel N100 mini PC. It is a candidate, not a proven 24/7 streaming appliance: no particular N100 model is validated here through a multi-day stream. For prerecorded videos, a camera feed, or a layered OBS production, first match the machine to the workload, then verify encoder support, cooling, network stability, and recovery behavior on the exact unit.
Choose for the stream you need to run
A prerecorded video loop, a live camera feed, and a composed OBS scene place different demands on a computer. YouTube’s ingest recommendations tell you what signal to send; they do not prove that a particular PC can encode and sustain it continuously.
- Prerecorded video: If you need to play a prepared file, confirm that your software can loop it and that the PC can maintain the chosen output. This is generally a simpler workflow than capturing and encoding multiple live sources.
- One camera or source: Check how the source connects and whether the required capture hardware and OBS workflow are supported.
- Multiple sources, overlays, or transitions: Define the number of cameras, output resolution, and frame rate before choosing hardware. Compositing adds work beyond sending a single prepared source.
Why shortlist an Intel N100 mini PC
An India-focused guide identifies Intel N100 mini PCs as a category worth considering for straightforward, single-source streaming with desktop software. Quick Sync hardware encoding is a reason to investigate the category, but a processor feature alone does not establish that a specific PC, operating system, and OBS setup will perform reliably over long sessions. The available assessment is category-level, not an independent multi-day test of a model. India-focused N100 guide
For heavier OBS scenes, investigate a higher-headroom x86 mini PC only after specifying the workload. A Core Ultra 5 mini-PC candidate also appears in the same guide, but the available evidence is specification-based, not a long-duration streaming validation. Broad alternatives roundups mention Orange Pi and NVIDIA Jetson boards, but the available material does not establish a simpler or better-supported YouTube/OBS pipeline for either. Do not treat an AI/NPU or processor specification as proof of continuous video-encoding suitability.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Check YouTube’s output settings before buying
YouTube accepts RTMP/RTMPS ingest and lists H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and AV1 video, up to 60 fps. Its guidance recommends constant bitrate (CBR), a two-second keyframe interval, and says the interval should not exceed four seconds. Bitrate recommendations vary with codec, resolution, and frame rate, so use the matching row in YouTube’s current settings rather than applying one figure to every format. YouTube: Choose live encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions
For H.264 at 1080p30, YouTube recommends 14 Mbps and lists 5 Mbps as the minimum. These are platform guidance figures, not a guarantee that a given mini PC can encode at that setting. YouTube also advises testing before going live and monitoring stream health while streaming. YouTube live encoder guidance

Buying checklist for an India-based setup
Compare exact systems against your actual stream, not just processor names or advertised peak specs. Model-specific compatibility, India stock and prices, and long-run failure behavior are not established by the available evidence.
- Encoder and software: Confirm that the chosen hardware encoder works with the exact operating system and OBS version you plan to use, and that OBS can select it for the intended output format.
- Sustained cooling: Check the cooling design and look for evidence about operation under sustained load. A processor specification does not establish the thermal behavior of the assembled mini PC.
- Real power draw: Compare measured whole-system idle and streaming consumption where available. Do not substitute processor TDP for wall power.
- Network: Prefer wired networking where practical and test the connection under the intended streaming settings. YouTube recommends leaving about 20% upload bandwidth spare; a connectivity disruption can break a stream. A tested backup connection is sensible operational planning, not a guarantee of uninterrupted service. YouTube: Streaming tips
- Power continuity: A UPS is conditional, not a universal requirement. Size it for the connected computer, router, and any other equipment, plus the runtime you need.
- Inputs: A USB capture card is relevant only if the workflow needs to ingest an HDMI camera, console, or other HDMI source.
- Recovery and service: Check how the system behaves after a power or network interruption, whether it restarts as needed, and what warranty and local service are available in India.
- Total cost: Compare the landed price and warranty for the exact model and any required capture or backup-power equipment. No specific model price or measured power figure is established here.
Set up and test before leaving it unattended
- Define the stream: Write down whether you are looping a recording, capturing a camera, or building an OBS scene; specify resolution, frame rate, and sources.
- Verify the exact PC: Confirm encoder support in your intended OS and OBS version, then check cooling, storage, wired-network options, and recovery behavior for that model.
- Configure the YouTube encoder: Use YouTube’s current recommendation for your codec, resolution, and frame rate. For H.264 1080p30, its guidance is 14 Mbps; use CBR and a two-second keyframe interval, with no more than four seconds between keyframes. Review YouTube’s encoder settings
- Test the connection: Run an upload test on the actual wired or backup connection you intend to use, with roughly 20% spare upload capacity as YouTube recommends. Check the stream health indicators rather than assuming that a successful start means the connection is stable. Read YouTube’s streaming tips
- Run a supervised trial: Test the full source, scene, and settings before relying on the stream. Watch for dropped connection, encoding strain, or thermal issues; verify what happens after an interruption and restart.
Common failure points to check
- YouTube reports poor stream health: Check that the selected bitrate matches the chosen YouTube setting and that the connection has the recommended upload headroom. Test wired networking and the backup connection separately.
- The stream drops when connectivity changes: YouTube warns that a connectivity disruption could break the stream. Check router and ISP stability and test any backup path; do not assume that changing networks will preserve a live session.
- The PC struggles with the scene: Reduce the workload or reassess the hardware after checking the exact camera count, overlays, resolution, and frame rate. The N100 category is not evidence that every model can handle heavier compositions.
- It fails during a long session: Review cooling, power continuity, operating-system and OBS behavior, and the system’s restart/recovery process. The available sources do not establish multi-day reliability for a specific candidate.
Or let it run in the cloud
If the goal is a prerecorded YouTube loop rather than a live camera or OBS-composited production, StreamNeo is the cloud alternative to a local PC: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It keeps the uploaded video looping with the computer off.
