If your family wants a silly game built around the risk of getting splatted with cream, choose between two formats: Pie Face Game (E7638) is a turn-taking game for two or more players, while Pie Face Showdown (C0193) is a simultaneous face-off for exactly two. Both are listed for ages 5 and up. They are tabletop games, not conventional board-and-piece games.

These details come from Hasbro’s E7638 instructions and C0193 instructions. The useful distinction is format, not an objective ranking: the original accommodates a group, while Showdown is designed for a head-to-head match.
How the original Pie Face Game works
Players take turns sliding behind the mask, spinning, and turning the handles the number of times indicated. The throwing arm may spring forward; a player who completes a turn without being hit scores a point. Hasbro’s product instructions say the first player to reach 25 points wins.
The original uses whipped cream, which is not included. Hasbro cautions against substituting other materials, so follow the instructions for the specific game rather than improvising with something else.

How Pie Face Showdown works
Set the thrower on a flat surface, fit the masks and chin rests, attach the throwing arm, and put whipped cream on the hand or use the included sponge. The two players count to three and rapidly press the buttons nearest them. The arm moves toward one player; whoever is hit is pie-faced.
The C0193 manual describes a way to balance play when one person is stronger: move the arm closer to that player so a younger player has an easier contest. Do not move it so far that it will not lower.

Setup, cleanup and safety
- Adult help: Both editions require adult supervision; both specify adult assembly. Follow the packaging and manual for the exact edition in hand.
- Small parts: Hasbro warns that small parts pose a choking hazard to children under 3.
- Original cleanup: Hasbro advises wiping the product clean before and after use. If whipped cream gets in an eye, rinse with water.
- Showdown cleanup: Remove the parts and clean them with water; dry them before storing.

Pick E7638 if more than two people should be able to join and you want rounds with individual turns and points. Pick C0193 if the main attraction is two players competing at once; its included sponge gives you a no-cream option, while Hasbro also says it can be played with whipped cream.

Current inventory, durability, and independently tested enjoyment are not established by the cited product information, so check the model number and contents in any retailer listing before buying.
