BGR’s April 2025 list offers a varied set of films for viewers wondering what to watch on Netflix, with entries spanning crime drama, thriller and animation. It is a dated recommendation snapshot—not a guarantee that the films are available on Netflix today or in every country.
What the April 2025 list includes
Jacob Siegal’s BGR article, updated April 13, 2025, presents 47 movies with practical details such as director, cast, runtime, rating and a short synopsis. The visible selections include Heat, Parasite, Carry-On, Emilia Pérez, Society of the Snow, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and The Sea Beast. The mix gives readers several kinds of films to consider, rather than a single-genre watchlist.

BGR does not describe a formal scoring system or ranking method, so “best” should be read as the publication’s editorial recommendation, not an objective rating. For the full list and its individual descriptions, see BGR’s 47 Best Movies on Netflix.
How to choose what to watch
Use the listing details to narrow your options: the synopsis can help establish whether a story appeals, while the runtime and rating can help determine whether a film suits your available time and viewing situation. For example, the selection includes the crime drama Heat, the thriller Parasite, and animated films Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and The Sea Beast.

Check availability in your country
The title describes what BGR selected for April 2025, not the Netflix catalog in October 2026. BGR notes that it adds films when they begin streaming and removes them when Netflix takes them off. Catalogs can vary by country as well, so search for a particular film in Netflix in your own region before planning to watch it.
