Short answer: The Microtek SMART HYBRID UPS 1075 is a low-cost model worth investigating: Microtek lists it at ₹6,290, with 950VA/760W capacity and pure sine wave output. But the right UPS depends on your PC’s actual peak power draw, the monitor and network equipment you want backed up, and the runtime you need. The model’s published “up to 1.8 hours” figure is load- and battery-dependent—not a prediction for a streaming desktop.
Is the Microtek SMART HYBRID UPS 1075 a good candidate?
It is a plausible starting point, not a verified match for every PRISM Live Studio setup. Microtek’s product page lists the SMART HYBRID UPS 1075 (12V), SKU 899-951-1075, at ₹6,290 when accessed in 2026. It specifies 950VA/760W capacity, pure sine wave output, 230V output and a nominal 12V DC system. The page states a three-year manufacturer warranty; confirm current terms, including battery coverage, before buying. Microtek’s product listing asks for a pincode to show availability, so the displayed price does not establish delivery availability everywhere in India.
Microtek lists “up to 1.8 hours” of backup, dependent on load and battery capacity. Do not treat that as expected runtime for a desktop PC. The product page’s example appliances include a fan, CFL, TV, laptop and Wi-Fi router, but do not specifically validate the UPS for a desktop gaming PC. Ask Microtek to confirm suitability for your exact PC power supply and load before purchase.
Size the UPS for the whole streaming setup
PRISM’s published computer requirements describe what the software needs to run; they do not tell you how much electricity your particular PC draws. Size the UPS from the equipment you intend to keep powered and its actual peak consumption, not from PRISM’s requirements or the wattage printed on the PC’s power supply. PRISM’s PC FAQ does not provide a setup-specific power measurement.

List and measure the connected equipment
- List each device that must stay on during an outage: the PC, monitor, and any modem, router, speakers or peripherals you consider essential.
- Find or measure the peak draw for each item. Use the PC’s actual consumption where possible; its power supply’s rated wattage is not the same as the computer’s draw.
- Add the loads together, then compare the total with both the UPS’s watt capacity and its VA rating.
- Leave capacity headroom. Schneider Electric advises choosing watt capacity above the total load and describes a 20–25% margin in its UPS buying guide. Microtek’s gaming-PC guide recommends at least 20–30% above calculated need. These are sizing guidelines, not guarantees; follow the instructions for the specific UPS.
Watts and VA are different capacity limits. Schneider Electric’s concise rule is: “A UPS should have a VA rating higher than your total device watt load.” Check the watt rating too; a high VA number alone does not establish that the UPS can handle the load.
The 1075’s 760W maximum is a specification to compare against your total load, not a recommended continuous operating target. Without your PC’s components and measured peak draw, it is not possible to say that this or any particular capacity is sufficient. A higher-load gaming PC needs especially careful checking against both ratings and the UPS manufacturer’s compatibility advice.

Check waveform, runtime and network coverage
Confirm compatibility with the PC power supply
Microtek recommends pure sine wave output for more complex gaming computers. Check the exact UPS documentation and your PC power-supply documentation for compatibility and transfer behavior. Pure sine output is a relevant consideration, but the available product information does not demonstrate a tested match between the 1075 and an unspecified desktop build.
Set a realistic runtime goal
Decide whether you need only enough time to ride through a brief interruption or to save work and shut down, or whether you have a longer-runtime requirement. Schneider Electric describes 5–20 minutes as typical for home and office UPS units, depending on model and load; this general range is not a test result for the Microtek 1075. More connected devices reduce available runtime. Compare runtime at your intended load, battery capacity, whether the battery is included, and the replacement path. Treat any manufacturer maximum as load-dependent.

Include the internet connection if the stream must stay online
If your goal is to keep a live broadcast connected through a local power cut, the modem or router also needs power. Add those devices to the load calculation and confirm they can be connected to the UPS. A UPS cannot prevent a separate internet, ISP, YouTube or other network interruption. PRISM identifies network instability as a possible reason a stream can end; keeping the PC powered does not guarantee the upload connection remains available. See PRISM’s troubleshooting guidance.

Buying checklist for the Microtek 1075
- Check the live ₹6,290 listing and pincode-based availability directly with Microtek.
- Confirm whether the battery is included and what the warranty covers, including the battery.
- Ask Microtek to confirm use with your desktop PC and power supply, especially if it is a high-draw gaming build.
- Compare your complete peak load with both 950VA and 760W, leaving suitable headroom.
- Verify realistic backup duration at your load rather than relying on the “up to 1.8 hours” statement.
- Include the router or modem if maintaining the stream through a local outage is important.
Or let it run in the cloud
