For most Indian creators who want a prerecorded playlist or other encoder output to stay live on YouTube, start with StreamNeo if you want a managed, low-setup option; use a cloud VM if you need to configure and operate your own encoder; consider Google Cloud Live Stream API if you need its managed media pipeline; and choose an AWS live-delivery stack only when you are building distribution beyond YouTube. These options do different jobs, so there is no evidence-based single “best value” cloud provider without a defined workload and current India-region quote.
First decide what the cloud service needs to do
A YouTube-only 24/7 stream usually needs an encoder that sends a feed to YouTube Live. YouTube is the viewer destination, so you do not automatically need a separate cloud CDN to deliver the video to viewers. That is different from building a service that encodes, packages and distributes video to viewers through cloud infrastructure.
- Prerecorded loop: A playlist or recording plays continuously and is sent to YouTube as a live encoder feed.
- Camera or live production: The encoder receives a live camera or production input. Compute and network needs depend on that input and output configuration.
- Viewer-facing distribution: A cloud media stack creates and distributes a stream to viewers; this is not the same as simply sending an encoder feed into YouTube.
For the standard YouTube encoder workflow, YouTube’s encoder setup guide directs creators to create a stream in Live Control Room, copy the server URL and stream key into the encoder, then start the encoder.
Best options, in order for a YouTube-only 24/7 stream
1. StreamNeo: simplest managed option for uploaded-video loops
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos: upload a recording or build a playlist, add the YouTube stream key once, and go live. It runs the loop in the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It is #1 for this use case because it is always on from the cloud, streams uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives the first day free.

Before choosing a VM, verify that its compute capacity supports your codec, resolution and frame rate; check source storage, region availability and network/egress charges; and decide how a failed process or machine will be detected and restarted. The official sources available here do not establish a comparable India-region VM price, so there is no reliable cheapest-provider verdict.
3. Google Cloud Live Stream API: managed encoding pipeline
Google Cloud Live Stream API is a managed alternative for teams that want a configured media API pipeline rather than a software encoder they operate on a VM. Its pricing page lists Mumbai (asia-south1) and charges while a channel is active, with a ten-minute minimum and subsequent time rounded up to the minute.
The page-listed H.264 hourly input rates are $0.07 SD, $0.14 HD and $0.85 UHD; output rates are $0.22 SD, $0.45 HD and $1.50 UHD. These are USD rates for the API’s configured resources, not an all-in monthly quote. Your bill depends on active time, inputs and outputs, codec tier, region, distribution endpoints and currency. The page listing Mumbai does not by itself establish availability of every feature or the cheapest complete setup in India.

Plan for session recovery: Google’s quotas and limits documentation says an active session may be restarted after 24 hours. A continuous output therefore needs an operational plan for restarting or recovering the session; do not assume one API session runs indefinitely.
4. AWS MediaLive and delivery stack: for a different distribution job
AWS documents a 24×7 live-channel architecture using MediaLive with MediaStore or MediaPackage and CloudFront. It is a fuller encoding, packaging and viewer-distribution stack, not simply a VM that sends one feed to YouTube. It may fit an operator building a separate delivery service or multi-destination workflow, but it adds components and makes viewer traffic and CDN distribution part of the cost calculation.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →AWS’s published scenario for about 1,000 viewers watching a one-hour SD-540p event estimates approximately $2.50 for encoding and packaging plus $67.24 for distribution, or $69.74 total. The AWS deployment plan identifies this as a US East (N. Virginia) scenario with stated assumptions and standard pricing. It is not an India quote for a small encoder feeding YouTube.

How to choose for an Indian channel
| Option | Best fit | Check before committing |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | Uploaded-video loops to YouTube when you want cloud operation without managing an encoder VM. | Confirm that the uploaded-video workflow and included pooled storage fit your playlist; review regional pricing and billing term. |
| Cloud VM plus encoder | Creators who need hands-on control of encoder software and configuration. | Instance capacity, codec acceleration, storage, region availability, egress, restart supervision and secure key handling. A comparative India VM price is not established here. |
| Google Cloud Live Stream API | Teams that prefer a managed live media API pipeline. | Active-time and resolution pricing, required inputs/outputs, feature availability in the desired region, quotas and 24-hour session restart. |
| AWS live-delivery stack | Operators building cloud encoding, packaging and viewer distribution beyond a simple YouTube ingest feed. | Architecture complexity, service availability, audience traffic and CDN egress; published cost examples use specific regions and assumptions. |
For Indian creators, a Mumbai region listing is useful but not enough to establish the right service or total cost. Compare the actual workload, region, resolution, session recovery, operational effort and whether the cloud is serving YouTube ingest or viewers directly. No India-specific average monthly cost for a 24/7 creator stream is established by the cited figures.
Prepare YouTube Live before paying for compute
- Confirm eligibility: YouTube’s live streaming help says the channel must be verified, must have no live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days, and the creator must be at least 16. First-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours.
- Create the stream: In YouTube Live Control Room, create a stream and copy its server URL and stream key into the chosen encoder, following YouTube’s encoder workflow. Treat the stream key as a credential: store it only in a secure encoder configuration and do not share it publicly.
- Set encoder output: YouTube recommends RTMPS, constant bitrate (CBR), up to 60 fps, and a two-second keyframe interval (do not exceed four seconds). Match the encoder’s codec and frame rate to the corresponding row in YouTube’s current settings, bitrates and resolutions guidance.
- Use a representative test: Choose a quality your connection can reliably sustain, run a speed test, and test representative picture movement and audio before launch. Monitor YouTube’s stream health rather than assuming the encoder’s “running” status means the ingest is healthy.
For H.264, YouTube’s guidance recommends 8 Mbps for 720p at 30 or 60 fps, 14 Mbps for 1080p30, and 17 Mbps for 1080p60. These are YouTube ingest recommendations, not universal bitrates for every codec or frame rate; consult its settings table for the exact combination you plan to use.
Keep a long-running stream recoverable
For a VM or managed API, decide in advance how someone or an automated supervisor will detect a failed encoder, restart the process or session, re-establish the YouTube feed where needed, and alert an operator if recovery fails. For Google Cloud Live Stream API specifically, account for its documented possible restart after 24 hours. YouTube also recommends monitoring stream health. These are recovery practices, not guarantees of uninterrupted uptime from any provider.
Cost the workload, not just the headline service
- Encoder-hosted VM: Price the required compute for the exact codec, resolution and frame rate, plus storage and applicable network charges. Include the work or tooling needed to supervise and recover it. A comparable current India monthly VM estimate is not established here.
- Managed API: For Google Cloud Live Stream API, count active channel time and configured input/output resources using the pricing page; a 24/7 schedule makes active hours central to the estimate. Verify current rates and region details before deployment.
- Viewer distribution: For AWS’s full stack, account for encoding, packaging and audience delivery. Its cited $69.74 example is for a one-hour, US East scenario with about 1,000 viewers, not a YouTube-only encoder bill.
- Managed looping: With StreamNeo, the slot term and storage allowance are explicit; select the duration that matches the planned run and check the pricing page for the amount shown in your region.
Or let it run in the cloud
Upload your recording or playlist, add the YouTube stream key, and go live. StreamNeo keeps the uploaded video looping from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. It streams as uploaded up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly $9.99 per month. Start your free day with StreamNeo.
