Intel lists Quick Sync Video on the N100, but that specification alone cannot establish how a particular mini PC will perform in OBS, stay cool, or run reliably around the clock. Match the PC to the stream, verify its exact configuration and India warranty, and test the complete setup before leaving it unattended.
Start with the stream workload, not the PC label
A pre-recorded video or other simple single-source stream can have modest encoding demands. Gaming, several capture inputs, complex OBS scenes, higher-resolution or higher-frame-rate output, and multiple concurrent streams can require more CPU or GPU headroom. A processor’s feature list is not a sustained OBS performance test.
For a basic one-stream setup, shortlist N100 mini PCs and verify the encoder is available through the specific PC’s graphics driver and streaming software. For heavier production, compare stronger Intel Core or AMD Ryzen systems, or a discrete GPU with a compatible hardware encoder. No sourced head-to-head test or current India street-price comparison establishes a winning model.
What an N100 mini PC does—and does not—establish
Intel’s current N100 specification lists four cores and four threads, turbo frequency up to 3.40 GHz, Intel UHD Graphics, Quick Sync Video, and maximum memory of 16 GB. Quick Sync makes N100 relevant when considering hardware encoding; it does not certify a particular mini PC’s encoding performance or continuous uptime. Intel N100 specifications

MSI India’s Cubi N ADL product family illustrates the N-series mini-PC category and states a 6 W TDP for the specified configuration. TDP is not the measured power consumption of the complete PC while streaming; it should not be used to estimate electricity cost or UPS runtime. MSI India Cubi N ADL specifications
Compare exact PCs against your requirements
Before buying, assess the actual system and workload rather than relying on “mini PC,” “low power,” or a processor name alone.

- Encoding target: Confirm support for the codec, resolution, and frame rate you intend to stream, and verify hardware encoding works in your Windows, driver, and encoder-software combination.
- Cooling and sustained operation: Look for credible evidence about long-session behavior for the exact model. A component specification or a manufacturer’s reliability claim is not an independent 24/7 streaming test.
- Memory and storage: Check the exact RAM and drive configuration, not just the model-family maximum. Leave enough space for the operating system, OBS, and source media.
- Network: Check Ethernet availability and the Wi-Fi options. Prefer wired Ethernet when practical, and test the connection under the conditions when the stream will run.
- Power and service: Check the complete system’s power draw under your real encoding workload, Windows license and setup requirements, return terms, warranty, and India service availability.
- Price and configuration: Compare the exact CPU, RAM, storage, Windows edition, and included accessories at the current India price. No current retailer price, stock, or named best-value SKU is established here.

Set YouTube’s encoder settings to match the stream
YouTube’s current live encoder guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS ingestion and H.264, H.265 (HEVC), and AV1 video codecs, with up to 60 frames per second. It recommends constant bitrate encoding and a two-second keyframe interval; do not exceed four seconds. Use the settings supported by your encoder, selected codec, and stream target, then check YouTube’s live guidance for the current details. For H.264, YouTube’s recommended bitrates include:
| Output | YouTube-recommended H.264 bitrate |
|---|---|
| 1080p60 | 17 Mbps |
| 1080p30 | 14 Mbps |
| 720p60 | 8 Mbps |
| 720p30 | 6 Mbps |
These are YouTube’s encoding recommendations, not guaranteed minimum internet speeds. Your connection needs additional capacity beyond the stream bitrate.

Plan upload capacity and connection stability
YouTube says total stream bitrate must not exceed available upload bandwidth and recommends 20% additional capacity above the combined primary and backup stream bitrate, where a backup is used. Network disruption can break a stream. YouTube live encoder guidance and YouTube live streaming troubleshooting
- Test sustained upload speed during the hours and under the network conditions when the channel will be live; a brief speed test is not proof of a stable all-day connection.
- Use wired Ethernet if practical. If losing the stream has meaningful consequences, plan and test an alternate internet path rather than assuming a second Wi-Fi network will fail over automatically.
- Include the primary and backup stream rates when applying YouTube’s 20% headroom recommendation.
Prepare the setup for unattended operation
A mini PC alone cannot guarantee continuous transmission. YouTube recommends setting up the encoder ahead of the event, checking the preview, monitoring audio and video quality, verifying the archive, and testing failover by stopping the primary encoder or disconnecting its Ethernet link. - It can be a gift option
- Comes with secure packaging
- Helpful in various ways
- Test the intended workload: Run the exact scenes, source media, audio, resolution, frame rate, and codec you plan to use. Watch for dropped frames, overheating, or encoding overload during a sustained trial.
- Check the YouTube preview and stream health: Confirm picture and sound before relying on the setup, and review warnings while it is running.
- Test recovery: Stop the encoder and disconnect Ethernet in a planned test to see how your setup behaves when its source or network fails. Confirm the restart procedure works.
- Plan for other interruptions: Decide how to recover from a power cut, ISP outage, Windows restart or update, encoder crash, and missing or corrupt source media. Keep the stream key private.
- Size backup power from measurements: A UPS serving the PC and router may bridge a brief power interruption. Choose capacity using their combined measured load and the runtime you need; the UPS cannot restore an ISP connection without an available alternate link.
Costs and the limits of a “budget” recommendation
The purchase price is only part of the cost. Consider power use under the real streaming workload, a UPS sized for the desired runtime, any backup internet service, and the cost of a configuration with adequate memory, storage, cooling, and warranty support. No measured whole-system streaming wattage or India electricity-cost comparison is established here, so a reliable operating-cost estimate requires measuring the selected PC.
Nor is there independent evidence here that a particular budget Windows PC can stream continuously without interruption. A manufacturer’s 24/7 reliability language for one model—such as ASUS’s ExpertCenter PN52—does not prove unattended YouTube streaming success for that model, much less for other PCs.
