For prerecorded video or a playlist, check whether a cloud service fits before buying a mini PC. StreamNeo is #1 among the options for keeping that kind of YouTube stream running: it loops uploaded videos in the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives new accounts one free day. If you need local encoding or live inputs such as a camera or gameplay, the Beelink Mini S12 Pro with Intel N100 is a cautious budget candidate to investigate—not a proven 24/7 streaming appliance. No current India price, local warranty, or continuous-encoding test is established here.
First decide what “always-on” means for your channel
A 24/7 stream could be a prerecorded documentary loop, a playlist, a camera feed, gameplay, or a produced show with multiple inputs. The source changes what equipment you need.
- Prerecorded video or a playlist: A local computer can run encoder software, but it does not necessarily need to stay at home if you use a suitable cloud service. StreamNeo plays uploaded videos and playlists to YouTube; it does not stream a live camera feed.
- Camera, gameplay, screen capture, or multiple live inputs: These need a live source and usually local capture or production equipment. A mini PC may be useful if it can handle the encoding and production workload you actually plan to run.
YouTube describes an encoder as software or hardware that converts video into a digital format for streaming. Its encoder workflow supports sharing a screen or game and using external audio or video hardware. Enabling YouTube Live for the first time can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave activation until the day you plan to launch.
Best budget mini PC candidate: Beelink Mini S12 Pro
The Beelink Mini S12 Pro is a reasonable model to investigate for a modest, simple prerecorded 720p or 1080p stream that you intend to encode locally. Its manual lists an Intel N100 processor with four cores and four threads, turbo up to 3.4 GHz, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, two HDMI ports, one DDR4 SO-DIMM slot, and M.2 and 2.5-inch storage support. It also lists BIOS options for Auto Power On and Wake-on-LAN, a working-temperature range of 0–40°C, and a one-year warranty statement.
#1 Best Overall
Those are specifications in a manual copy, not evidence that the model has been tested for continuous encoding, that its cooling will suit your location and workload, or that a particular Indian seller provides local warranty support. The manual’s warranty statement does not by itself confirm coverage for an India-market unit. No India-specific price or seller listing, whole-system wall-power measurement, or hours-long encode test is established here, so there is not enough evidence to call it a verified “best” buy.
What to verify on the exact India listing
- Confirm that the processor is the N100 and check the included RAM, SSD, power adapter, and operating system rather than assuming all bundles match.
- Ask who handles warranty claims in India and check the seller, invoice, returns, and support terms. Do not assume a global manufacturer warranty applies locally.
- Check cooling, ventilation, and the available Ethernet port on the exact configuration. A model name alone does not establish system-level performance.
- For a used or imported unit, work out the landed cost and support risk before comparing it with a locally supported option.
How the options compare
For prerecorded media, compare the cost and effort of keeping your own equipment running with a cloud option. For live capture or production, a mini PC may be necessary, but the exact system still needs testing.

Set up and test a local YouTube stream
Use YouTube’s current encoder guidance for the codec, resolution, frame rate, and bitrate you select. The figures below are YouTube recommendations, not performance guarantees for an N100 system or a household internet connection.
1. Enable YouTube Live and prepare the stream
- Enable live streaming on the YouTube channel in advance; first-time enablement can take up to 24 hours.
- Choose the intended live-stream or encoder workflow in YouTube and obtain the stream key through YouTube’s interface. Keep the key private: anyone with it may be able to send a stream to that destination.
- Enter the stream key in your encoder’s YouTube destination settings. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube before streaming again.
- Start with a private or otherwise appropriately limited test if available in your channel workflow. Check YouTube’s stream health, picture, sound, and playback before relying on the setup.
2. Match encoder settings to the video and connection
- Protocol and video codec: YouTube lists RTMP/RTMPS and H.264, H.265 (HEVC), or AV1 in its encoder guidance. Use a codec supported by your encoder and the chosen workflow.
- Rate control: YouTube recommends constant bitrate (CBR).
- Keyframes: YouTube recommends a two-second keyframe frequency and says it must not exceed four seconds.
- Bitrate: YouTube’s current guidance gives H.264 at 1080p30 a recommended 10 Mbps, and H.264 at 720p30 a recommended 4 Mbps. For AV1 or H.265, the corresponding recommendations are 6 Mbps and 3 Mbps. Recommendations vary with codec, resolution, and frame rate; do not apply these 30 fps examples unchanged to a different output.
- Frame rate: YouTube’s guidance supports up to 60 fps, but choose a frame rate the source, encoder, and connection can sustain.
Test with representative footage, including motion and audio. YouTube’s guidance is to test before starting the live stream; a successful short test does not establish that a PC will remain stable around the clock.

3. Give the network and power path enough margin
- Measure upload capacity where the PC will operate and at a time representative of the stream schedule.
- Use wired Ethernet where practical. The Mini S12 Pro manual lists Gigabit LAN, but that does not establish your ISP’s upload speed or reliability.
- Leave bandwidth headroom. YouTube’s streaming tips recommend about 20% additional upload capacity beyond the stream’s combined bitrate. Other household traffic and connection disruptions can still affect the stream.
- If short power cuts are common, consider a UPS sized for both the mini PC and the modem/router. A UPS only helps for as long as its runtime lasts; it cannot prevent an ISP outage.
- Provide ventilation and test the actual setup over a long run. Then test a controlled restart and network interruption so you know what recovery looks like before depending on it.
What “always-on” reliability requires from a local PC
A local encoder depends on several parts staying available at once: the computer, its power, the source media or capture devices, the network equipment, the ISP connection, and YouTube’s ingest service. Auto Power On and Wake-on-LAN are useful BIOS options listed in the Mini S12 Pro manual, but they do not prove that an interrupted encoder session will resume correctly or that the stream will reconnect after every failure.
Before purchase, compare the full India cost and terms—not just the processor name. Include the exact PC bundle, any storage or RAM changes, networking and power support, and any warranty or import risks. No reliable like-for-like India price or power comparison is established for the models discussed here.

Copyright and monetization checks for a 24/7 loop
Technical ability to stream a video does not establish the right to broadcast it or guarantee monetization. Before looping documentaries, music, or other third-party material, confirm that you have the necessary rights and check YouTube’s current policies for copyright and reused content. Repeating a video does not make it original or resolve a rights issue. Keep documentation for material you own or are licensed to use, and review any restrictions that apply to your channel and content.
StreamNeo provides a free copyright safety checklist to help review content rights before streaming. For planning uploads, its upload-time calculator estimates the time needed to upload files, and the cloud vs PC cost calculator helps compare the two approaches.
Common problems and what to check
- YouTube has not enabled live streaming: Enable it ahead of time; first-time activation can take up to 24 hours.
- The stream will not connect or YouTube reports an ingest problem: Check the selected protocol, destination, and stream key. If the key may have been exposed, replace it in YouTube and update the encoder.
- Dropped frames or unstable output: Check upload speed and concurrent network use, use Ethernet where possible, and ensure capacity includes YouTube’s suggested headroom. A faster local Ethernet link does not fix a weak ISP upload connection.
- Video quality or playback is unreliable: Verify that the chosen codec, bitrate, frame rate, and keyframe interval match YouTube guidance and your source. Test a representative segment rather than assuming the PC can sustain the selected settings.
- The stream stops after a power or internet interruption: Test recovery deliberately. BIOS auto-power-on can help a computer start after certain power events, but does not by itself restart an encoder session or restore an ISP connection.
- The stream becomes unreliable during long runs: Check ventilation, temperatures, power, storage, and encoder logs, then repeat a long-duration test at the intended settings. No endurance result is established for the Mini S12 Pro in the evidence available here.
- Copyright claim or monetization restriction: Review the rights for the exact content and YouTube’s applicable policies. A continuous loop is not a substitute for permission or a guarantee of monetization.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Mini S12 Pro’s one-year warranty statement guarantee India coverage?
No. The manual’s warranty statement does not confirm which India-market seller or provider will handle a local claim. Verify that with the exact seller before purchase.
Can I use StreamNeo for a live camera feed?
No. StreamNeo loops uploaded videos and playlists to YouTube; it does not go live from a camera.
