What the report does—and does not—establish

It does not establish that this difference caused the marriage to end, nor does the source set provide a confirmed explanation from Lopez or Affleck. What happened to the marriage afterward
The May 2024 story described the couple while they were still married. On January 7, 2025, the Associated Press reported that court filings showed they had reached a divorce settlement and were seeking a judge’s approval. EFE later reported, citing court records and PEOPLE, that the marriage was dissolved and the former spouses were legally single as of February 21, 2025.
