The original Baywatch cast went in very different directions after the lifeguard drama: David Hasselhoff continued acting and making music, Pamela Anderson added writing and advocacy to her screen career, and other cast members pursued television, film, business or activism. Michael Newman, the real-life lifeguard and firefighter who played himself, died in 2024. Here’s a look at selected cast members and the public work associated with them.
Where the best-known Baywatch cast members went
Baywatch changed casts over its run, so this is a guide to recognizable performers, not a complete cast list. The updates below focus on roles and public work; limited reporting about someone is not evidence that they have stopped working.

|---|---|---|
| David Hasselhoff | Mitch Buchannon | Acting, music, stage musicals and talent-show judging |
| Pamela Anderson | C.J. Parker | Acting, advocacy, books and documentary projects |

| Nicole Eggert | Summer Quinn | Reality television and an ice-cream-truck business |
| Carmen Electra | Lani McKenzie | Television, film and hosting |
| David Chokachi | Cody Madison | Acting and continued recognition for the role |
| Yasmine Bleeth | Caroline Holden | Earlier television and film roles; a 2021 independent-film return |
| Michael Newman | Played himself | Real-life lifeguard and firefighter; died in 2024 |
David Hasselhoff as Mitch Buchannon
Hasselhoff helped bring Baywatch back after its first-season cancellation and became an executive producer. A March 2026 Parade roundup reports that he appeared in 220 episodes, then continued with film and stage roles, talent-competition judging, music releases and acting. Those are career markers, not a complete account of his current schedule.
Pamela Anderson as C.J. Parker
Anderson left Baywatch in 1997 and went on to lead V.I.P. and appear in other screen projects. Her public work has also included animal-rights advocacy and books, among them her 2023 memoir Love, Pamela. Netflix’s Tudum feature discusses the memoir and frames her 2023 documentary as her life told in her own words. Parade also mentions The Last Showgirl and the 2025 Naked Gun remake as later career credits.

Alexandra Paul as Stephanie Holden
Paul continued working in film and television, including Lifetime films, and has been involved in activism. This overview sticks to those public career strands rather than treating a particular episode of activism as a defining update.
Nicole Eggert as Summer Quinn
Eggert later appeared in reality television and started an ice-cream-truck business. A Parade roundup reported a stage 2 breast cancer diagnosis and treatment beginning in December 2023. Because health information can change, that report should not be read as a current medical update.

David Chokachi as Cody Madison
Chokachi’s role as Cody was his first acting part, and he appeared on the show from 1995 to 1999, according to Parade. In an August 2024 interview with People, as quoted by Parade, he described how widely the series is still recognized: “The global reach Baywatch had—and still has—is just mind-blowing. Parade notes a 2021 independent-film return and says she largely left the spotlight after an arrest in 2001 and recovery from cocaine addiction. Detailed public career updates since then are limited; that gap does not establish what she does privately or whether she has other work.
Michael Newman, who played himself
Newman was a real-life lifeguard and firefighter who appeared on Baywatch. Parade reports that he died on October 20, 2024, aged 68, from complications of Parkinson’s disease.
