The song appears on his album YHLQMDLG; the video was co-directed by STILLZ and Bad Bunny.
What Bad Bunny’s drag looks looked like
Vogue’s March 27, 2020 fashion coverage described a sequence of distinct outfits rather than one makeover. The looks varied in color, material and silhouette:
- A red latex outfit by Busted Brand, paired with a slicked-back wig, red lips and heeled boots.
- A fitted printed dress worn with flared pants.
- A pink outfit.
- A later skirt by Chopova Lowena.
Vogue also described a sequence in which Bad Bunny appears chained among seated figures. Pitchfork’s contemporary account likewise noted him chained to thrones in a kilt, and described a performance atop a car amid dancing flowers. These are reported visual details, not evidence about his private identity.
When the video came out and who made it
The video was released on March 27, 2020, for “Yo Perreo Sola,” a track from YHLQMDLG. Pitchfork reported that STILLZ and Bad Bunny co-directed it. The FADER’s release-day coverage described Bad Bunny appearing in drag attire and dancing with a drag version of himself.

What the ending says about consent
The video closes with the Spanish words, “Si no quiere bailar contigo, respeta. Ella perrea sola.” Entertainment Tonight rendered the message in English as: “If she doesn’t want to dance with you, respect her. She twerks alone.” The wording makes the closing point explicit: a woman’s choice not to dance should be respected.
Bad Bunny’s later recollection of filming
In a 2025 article summarizing an interview with GQ España, Telemundo reported that Bad Bunny said he enjoyed making the video and took part in its creative process. Telemundo also relayed his recollection that wearing breast prosthetics, heels and makeup was a unique experience. That later reflection adds context to the production; it does not change the meaning of the video’s closing message.
