The notable surprise guests reported in Bad Boys: Ride or Die are Michael Bay, DJ Khaled, John Salley, Joyner Lucas, Jay Shetty and Khaby Lame. This spoiler-light guide identifies them and the roles listed for each; it is not a complete count of every supporting performer or brief appearance in the film.
Who makes a surprise appearance in Bad Boys: Ride or Die?
Complex named these six as surprise guests in a June 11, 2024 article. Cast listings identify roles for several, though the listings do not use one consistent definition of “cameo.” Khaby Lame’s appearance, for example, is listed as uncredited. The table therefore covers the recognizable surprise guests reported in coverage, not every extra or supporting cast member.

Why does Michael Bay appear?
Bay directed the first two Bad Boys films and helped establish the franchise’s visual style. In a June 19, 2024 interview with TheWrap, producer Jerry Bruckheimer explained the nod: “He started with the whole thing. He created the look and feel and everything about it. So he deserves it. I was pleased to see him on screen.” The role is identified in Plex credits as Porsche Driver; Bruckheimer called him an “embittered motorist.”

Why did Will Smith and Martin Lawrence call DJ Khaled’s cameo the best?
Smith and Lawrence praised Khaled’s appearance in a Complex GOAT Talk segment. Lawrence’s explanation was, “‘Cause he’s Miami,” and Smith replied, “That’s probably the GOAT cameo.” Smith also joked, “DJ Khaled was method acting on this movie.” These were playful comments in the conversation, not a formal ranking. Khaled plays Manny the Butcher, a returning character in the series.
