What is Baby Reindeer based on?
The series adapts Gadd’s one-man play, which debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019. Netflix describes the screen version as a drama and a seven-episode limited series. Gadd has described its tonal mix this way: “I think life is a comedy-drama.” The quotation appears in a Netflix Tudum interview published November 26, 2025.
When did the series premiere?
Netflix announced the series’ debut for April 11, 2024. Gadd wrote in a Netflix-published statement on March 25, 2024: “Baby Reindeer debuts April 11 on Netflix.” Netflix lists the series on its platform; availability can vary by territory and change over time.
