The X-Men-focused footage reported as a leak is a teaser, not a full-length trailer. It was later made available in higher quality on Marvel’s YouTube channel and social accounts, according to TechRadar. Reports describe brief glimpses of Professor Xavier, Magneto and Cyclops, but the images do not establish the film’s plot.
What the X-Men teaser reportedly shows
WBRC’s January 6, 2026 report describes footage moving from Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters to Professor Xavier and Magneto playing chess. It then shows Cyclops in a costume described as more comic-accurate, with Sentinels in the background. WBRC and TechRadar both identify Cyclops and a Sentinel among the teaser’s images.

Leak and official upload are different things
TechRadar reports that the teaser first circulated online as a leak, then Marvel uploaded higher-quality footage about a week later to its YouTube channel and social accounts. The leak’s circulation is reported by entertainment outlets; it should not be mistaken for a separate studio announcement. The later Marvel upload is the official version to seek out rather than unauthorized copies.
Other X-Men first looks are not part of this teaser
Coverage has described several different glimpses connected to Avengers: Doomsday. Their dates and formats matter because they are not all footage from the same teaser.

WBRC’s January report also named Channing Tatum, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming and Rebecca Romijn among X-Men performers confirmed for the film at that time. That broader cast information does not mean those actors or characters appear in this particular teaser.
