Avengers: Doomsday will bring together heroes from three universes, and its published cast includes actors associated with the Thunderbolts. But official sources have not confirmed that Spider-Man appears or that he shares a story with the Thunderbolts. Here is what the confirmed information does—and does not—tell us.
What are the Avengers: Doomsday spoilers?
The confirmed story outline is broad, not a scene-by-scene synopsis. Disney says heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a collision course and face an existential threat. The official listing names Anthony and Joe Russo as directors and publishes an ensemble cast, but it does not explain how the different characters meet or what happens to them.
That means claims about specific scenes, betrayals, or a Spider-Man–Thunderbolts team-up should not be treated as confirmed spoilers unless Marvel or Disney announces them. Disney+ described its October 5, 2026 guide as spoiler-free and noted that some cast and characters remain a mystery, leaving room for future announcements.
Are the Thunderbolts in Doomsday?
Yes, returning Thunderbolts characters are represented in Disney+’s published cast guide. It names six performers associated with the team:

Is Spider-Man in Avengers: Doomsday?
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man appearance has not been confirmed in the official Disney, Marvel, or Sony pages reviewed. That is not proof he will be absent; it means there is not an official confirmation to rely on. Sony’s description of Spider-Man: Brand New Day as the final MCU release before Doomsday establishes release order, not an appearance or crossover.

What is confirmed about Doctor Doom?
Disney+ identifies Robert Downey Jr.’s new MCU role as Doctor Doom. It does not confirm a connection between Doom and Tony Stark. The idea that Doom is Iron Man, or that the two have a specific story or identity link, remains speculation rather than an official plot detail.
Does Spider-Man: Brand New Day connect to Doomsday?
It connects in release order: Sony calls Brand New Day the MCU film immediately before Doomsday, and identifies it as the fourth Tom Holland Spider-Man film. Its story follows Peter Parker as Spider-Man in a world that has forgotten him. That makes it the direct next film for Spider-Man context, but Sony’s placement does not establish a plot crossover.
