What did the 2024 Kang “leak” actually claim?
BGR’s April 18, 2024 article, titled “This Avengers 5 leak makes me think Kang is still the main villain,” attributed a reported production-schedule claim to Daniel Richtman. It said Richtman had posted on Patreon that Marvel wanted to shoot the film in the UK in 2025 and keep its then-planned release date. BGR also reproduced a repost of that claim.

That schedule report did not confirm Kang as the villain. The article’s author said the reported timing made them think Kang would remain a major villain; that was the author’s inference, not a claim attributed to Richtman. BGR also acknowledged that Richtman had not mentioned the film’s title. The article is historical rumor coverage, not a current source for the release date or a confirmation of the story’s villain. Who is the villain in Avengers: Doomsday?
Current official material foregrounds Doctor Doom, also known as Victor von Doom. Disney describes him as a monarch of Latveria who is skilled in both sorcery and technology, and as a rival to Reed Richards. Robert Downey Jr. plays Doom, according to Disney’s UK guide and the studio’s Comic-Con recap.

The fifth Avengers film was originally conceived as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. The Associated Press reported in September 2026 that the project was substantially reworked after Jonathan Majors was dropped from the franchise. The current title is Avengers: Doomsday, and Disney’s official descriptions focus on Doom. None of these sources settles whether Kang appears in the finished film, so it would be inaccurate to say either that he remains the main villain or that he is definitely absent. What is Avengers: Doomsday about?
Disney’s broad official premise says heroes from three distinct universes are set on a collision course and face an existential threat. This establishes a large-scale multiverse crossover, but the published synopsis does not explain the full plot or disclose how the teams meet.

Will Avengers: Doomsday be available on Disney+?
Disney+’s UK guide says the film will eventually stream on Disney+, but it does not give a streaming date. The theatrical dates above do not establish when it will arrive on the service.
