Secret Lair x Dungeons & Dragons: Astarion’s Thirst is a five-card Magic: The Gathering drop featuring Astarion, the Decadent, alongside four other cards with new art. Wizards of the Coast offered it in foil and non-foil editions as part of the Dungeons & Dragons 50th Anniversary Superdrop in August 2024; that original sale has ended.
What cards are in the Astarion Secret Lair?
Wizards’ product listing names five cards in Astarion’s Thirst: Astarion, the Decadent; Exquisite Blood; Sanguine Bond; Anguished Unmaking; and Mortify. The product description frames Astarion’s story as a pursuit of revenge across five cards with new art.
- Astarion, the Decadent
- Exquisite Blood
- Sanguine Bond
- Anguished Unmaking
- Mortify
Wizards presented the set in a Commander deck-building context. That description is promotional context, not specific deck-building advice or confirmation of format legality.
Was it available in foil and non-foil?
Yes. Wizards listed both foil and non-foil editions, each with the same five named cards. The documented choice is the card finish; the sources do not establish a price difference or resale premium.

The original official sale window is over. Wizards explains that most Secret Lair drops are limited print runs and pre-printed before sale, which can lead to earlier sellouts; some drops instead use print-on-demand. This helps explain why an ended drop may not be available from the official store, but it does not establish whether a retailer or resale seller currently has copies. Current stock, seller reliability, and market prices are not confirmed by the cited sources.
