Los 35 años de Timbiriche se cumplieron en 2017: el grupo había comenzado en México en 1982. Una galería de People en Español, actualizada el 6 de mayo de 2018, permite reconocer a sus seis integrantes originales y distinguirlos de las figuras que aparecen en fotografías de años posteriores.
Quiénes aparecen en la foto de los integrantes originales
La primera imagen identificada por la galería reúne a los seis miembros originales de Timbiriche: Sasha Sokol, Benny Ibarra, Diego Schoening, Mariana Garza, Paulina Rubio y Alix Bauer. Es la fotografía que conviene tomar como referencia para reconocer la formación inicial, no como una lista de todos los artistas que pasaron después por el grupo.
La galería también presenta a Mariana Garza de niña. Esa imagen recuerda que Timbiriche comenzó como un grupo juvenil: las fotografías pertenecen a distintas etapas de crecimiento y no muestran a sus integrantes con una apariencia uniforme a lo largo del tiempo.
Cómo distinguir las imágenes de 1984 y 1987
1984: se incorpora Erik Rubín
Según el pie de foto de People en Español, Erik Rubín se unió al grupo en 1984. Por eso, su presencia corresponde a una etapa posterior a la fotografía de los seis integrantes originales.

1987: una formación posterior
Otra imagen de la galería está fechada en 1987 y muestra a Thalía, Eduardo Capetillo, Diego Schoening, Edith Márquez, Erik Rubín, Paulina Rubio y Alix Bauer. La diferencia respecto de la foto inicial es importante: este retrato documenta una formación posterior, no la alineación con la que nació Timbiriche.
La secuencia disponible permite leer las fotos como instantáneas de momentos distintos: integrantes originales, la llegada de Rubín y una formación de 1987. No ofrece información suficiente para identificar con seguridad a las personas ni fechar cada uno de los otros cuadros de la galería.

Por qué se habla de “hace 35 años”
La frase alude al aniversario de 35 años celebrado en 2017, contado desde el comienzo de Timbiriche en 1982. La galería se actualizó en mayo de 2018, de modo que su fecha de actualización no cambia el año al que apunta ese cálculo. Las Estrellas cubrió la reunión por el 35.º aniversario en diciembre de 2017 y Excélsior publicó ese septiembre una retrospectiva de la historia del grupo.
