Ashley Williams’s 2024 Hallmark Channel movie Falling Together brings the Walk to End Alzheimer’s into a fictional romantic comedy. Williams plays Natalie, a newcomer to Pittsburgh who helps feuding neighbors connect—and finds community through the real-life Alzheimer’s Association event.
What is the Hallmark movie about?
Falling Together stars Ashley Williams and Paul Campbell. Hallmark’s official synopsis follows Natalie as she moves to Pittsburgh for a new job and tries to bring together the residents of her condo building, with help from its reluctant superintendent.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s becomes part of Natalie’s effort to build relationships: she gathers friends and neighbors into a team. The character and story are fictional; the Walk and the Alzheimer’s Association are real.
How the Walk became part of the film
The Alzheimer’s Association announced its collaboration with the production on September 4, 2024. It describes Falling Together as the first feature film to include the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The Association consulted on the script and provided branded decorations and props for the staged Walk event, according to its announcement.

Why the story is personal for Ashley Williams
Williams has said the Alzheimer’s Association supported her family after her mother received an Alzheimer’s diagnosis. The Association says Williams took part in Walk events to honor her mother, Linda, who died from the disease in 2016.
In the Association’s 2024 announcement, Williams called the movie “in a way, a love letter” to the organization and its work. Wendy Vizek, then the Association’s senior vice president of Community Engagement and Field Operations, described storytelling as “a powerful tool to educate, raise awareness and bring change.”
What the film’s 2024 figures mean
The Association’s September 2024 announcement cited figures from its 2024 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures report: nearly 7 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s and more than 11 million people providing unpaid care for someone living with the disease. These are the figures reported in the 2024 source, not updated estimates for 2026.
