Ashanti and Nelly welcomed a son, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, on July 18, 2024. Ashanti said Nelly proposed the name, which includes a tribute to her father.
What did Ashanti and Nelly name their son?
They named him Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, according to Good Morning America’s August 22, 2024 report on Ashanti’s interview. Ashanti said Nelly suggested the name while they were discussing possibilities and was adamant about it. “His dad named him with a lot of pride,” she said.
When was their baby born?
Ashanti’s representative confirmed to Good Morning America that the baby was born July 18, 2024. Ashanti described the birth announcement as coming about four weeks later.
What does Kareem Kenkaide mean?
