No. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie kept their princess titles after Prince Andrew said he would no longer use his own. Their titles arise from their status as male-line grandchildren of a sovereign under the 1917 rules; they do not depend on Andrew retaining his title. Their titles and their places in the line of succession are separate matters.
What changed for Prince Andrew
On 17 October 2025, Andrew said he would stop using his title and honours after discussions with the King and his family. He said: “I will therefore no longer use my title or the honours which have been conferred upon me.” The statement was published by the Royal Family that day.
That announcement and the formal legal step are distinct. The College of Arms explains that Letters Patent issued in 2025 removed Andrew’s title of Prince and his style of Royal Highness. The House of Commons Library also sets out the formal wording in its briefing on the removal of titles and honours.
Why Beatrice and Eugenie kept their titles
The College of Arms explains that the 1917 Letters Patent provide the title Prince or Princess and the style Royal Highness to the Sovereign’s children and the Sovereign’s male-line grandchildren, subject to the rules in the Letters Patent. Beatrice and Eugenie are granddaughters of Queen Elizabeth II through her son Andrew. Their entitlement does not rely on Andrew holding his own title.

Andrew’s change therefore affected his own title and style, not his daughters’ Princess titles. The Associated Press likewise reported after his announcement that Beatrice and Eugenie remained princesses.
Do the sisters’ places in the succession change?
A royal title and a place in the line of succession are not the same thing. The Royal Family’s succession page lists both Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. The House of Commons Library explains that removing someone from the succession would require legislation. The cited official material does not indicate that Andrew’s title change altered either sister’s succession position.
