As of October 8, 2026, neither service’s official U.S. pages confirm a Cyber Monday 2026 discount—and Cyber Monday 2026 has not yet taken place. The current listed prices are standard plan prices, not verified sale prices. A 2025 roundup reported a one-year MUBI offer for $75, but that is historical and does not establish a current deal.
What the current U.S. prices show
The official pages reviewed list these standard prices. Check the checkout page for the offer actually available to you; an annual plan or its displayed savings label is not evidence of a Cyber Monday promotion.
| Service and plan | Monthly | Annual | What is included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Criterion Channel | $10.99 | $99.99 | Streaming subscription; the official FAQ lists a seven-day free trial. |
| MUBI | $14.99 | $119.88; MUBI displays a 33% annual-savings label. | Streaming, iOS and Android downloads, cancellation, and no ads. |
| MUBI GO | $19.99 | $167.88; MUBI displays a 30% annual-savings label. | MUBI membership plus a weekly cinema ticket in select cities. |
These are figures shown on undated official U.S. pages retrieved in 2026, not sale quotes or guaranteed checkout totals. Criterion lists its prices and trial on its FAQ and plan page; MUBI lists its plans on its U.S. memberships page.
Which service fits your documentary and film watchlist?
Criterion Channel: classic and contemporary cinema with context
Criterion describes its service as an eclectic mix of classic and contemporary films from Hollywood and around the world. Its rotating selection includes more than 1,500 films from the Criterion Collection and Janus Films, plus more than 500 shorts and more than 5,000 supplementary features, according to the Criterion Collection FAQ. Those extras include interviews, introductions, video essays, commentaries, and archival footage. For viewers who value film history and material that deepens a screening, those supplements are a meaningful distinction.

Catalogs rotate, so do not assume a particular title will be available for the duration of a subscription. Check the service’s current listing for the films you want to watch. Criterion says Channel is available only in the United States and Canada.
MUBI: a hand-picked streaming catalog, with cinema tickets in some cities
MUBI describes its streaming catalog as hand-picked. Its U.S. memberships page also offers MUBI GO, which includes a weekly cinema ticket in select cities. That ticket has value only if the benefit is available where you live and suits your plans; confirm local eligibility before comparing MUBI GO’s price with a streaming-only membership.

The MUBI prices above come from its U.S.-localized page and should not be applied to other countries. MUBI says monthly fees are charged every 30 days and yearly fees every 360 days; account changes can affect billing dates. Check your account’s next billing date and the checkout terms before subscribing. See its billing FAQ.
How to tell whether a Cyber Monday offer is worth it
- Open the offer in your country. Confirm that the service and plan are available where you live; Criterion’s stated coverage is the United States and Canada, while the listed MUBI prices are for the United States.
- Compare the checkout price with the standard plan. The official pages currently retrieved show standard prices, not a verified 2026 Cyber Monday promotion. Treat any discount as real only when the offer is shown at checkout.
- Read the eligibility and duration terms. Check whether the offer is limited to new subscribers, when it expires, and whether it includes a trial. The official pages reviewed do not establish those terms for a 2026 sale.
- Check the renewal amount and billing date. Compare the promotional period with the price charged afterward, and confirm the next billing date in your account. MUBI’s yearly billing period is 360 days, not necessarily a calendar year.
- Choose based on what you will use. Check your watchlist in each catalog, weigh Criterion’s listed supplements if they matter to you, and count MUBI GO’s cinema ticket only if it is locally available.
What the 2025 MUBI report does—and does not—tell you
CinemaBlend reported a one-year MUBI offer for $75 in a 2025 Cyber Monday roundup. That dated report is evidence of a past promotion only; it does not verify that the same deal, or any deal, is available in 2026. Check the offer and renewal terms directly before subscribing.

Keep Criterion.com purchases separate from Channel access
Criterion says that accounts on Criterion.com and CriterionChannel.com using the same email gained single sign-on on September 24, 2026, but billing remains separate. A Criterion.com account can be used to buy discs and merchandise; it does not itself provide Channel streaming access, which requires a streaming subscription. The Criterion Collection’s site is Criterion.com.
