Netflix’s “Come Play” trailer, released on October 16, 2024, puts Vi and Jinx’s fractured sibling relationship at the heart of Arcane Season 2. The season was the final chapter of their story in Arcane; its three acts arrived on November 9, 16, and 23, 2024.
What happens in the “Come Play” trailer?
The trailer picks up after Season 1’s cliffhanger, framing the conflict between Vi and Jinx against the growing struggle between Piltover and Zaun. In Gizmodo’s October 16, 2024, description, Vi is newly aligned with Piltover, while the montage also features Caitlyn, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Ambessa, Jinx, and Sevika. That is a glimpse of the trailer’s cast and tensions, not a complete synopsis of the season. Gizmodo’s trailer coverage identifies it as the series trailer for the second and final season.

The sibling conflict gives the trailer its emotional focus: Vi and Jinx are on opposite sides of a widening crisis, with their history making the fight personal as well as political.
What song plays in the trailer?
The trailer uses the song “Come Play,” credited to Stray Kids, Young Miko, and Tom Morello. The track shares its name with the trailer.

Is Season 2 the last Arcane season?
It is the final season chronicling Vi and Jinx’s story in Arcane. That does not mean the broader League of Legends world has no more stories to tell. Gizmodo’s contemporaneous report said co-creator and Riot Games creative director Christian Linke had indicated that more stories from that world were planned, but it did not establish a particular successor series, format, or release date.
