The clues cited in a November 2024 report were the artist’s playful engagement with Caitvi fan posts—not confirmation from the artist or the show. Netflix later listed “Fantastic” for episode 208, but did not name the scene where it plays.
What fans thought the song was signaling
On November 20, 2024, Gizmodo reported that fans expected “Fantastic,” a King Princess song not yet released at the time, to accompany a Caitlyn-and-Vi sex scene. The report pointed to the musician’s interactions with Caitvi posts and TikTok edits as the basis for that interpretation. It was a fan theory built around social-media activity, not an official announcement about the scene. Gizmodo’s November 2024 report framed the idea as a prediction awaiting the finale.

What the soundtrack listing later confirmed
Netflix Tudum’s Season 2 soundtrack guide, published November 26, 2024, lists King Princess’s “Fantastic” under episode 208. That confirms the song’s episode placement, not its use in any particular moment. The guide does not say that “Fantastic” plays during Caitlyn and Vi’s intimate scene, so the episode listing cannot serve as scene-specific proof. Netflix’s official soundtrack guide also describes the Season Two original soundtrack as featuring 22 singles.
Why music clues can feel persuasive in Arcane
Arcane uses music across both intimate character moments and large-scale action. Alex Seaver, the series’ executive music producer and co-composer, told Netflix: “ARCANE is the really crushing, quiet and vulnerable stuff that’s paired with these big, loud, epic sequences,” and described musical motifs tied to characters and relationships. That story-led approach helps explain why fans look to songs for narrative signals, but it does not make a particular fan interpretation an official cue.

- Arcane Season 2 Denim + Glacial + Yellow Splatter Exclusive LP (Official Soundtrack)
Seaver also said the team made 26 lyric translations and 26 versions of “Spin the Wheel.” Those figures refer to localized versions of that one song, not to the number of tracks on the Season 2 soundtrack.
How to read the claim accurately
- Before the finale: fans interpreted King Princess’s social-media engagement as a possible hint about Caitlyn and Vi.
- After the soundtrack guide appeared: Netflix placed “Fantastic” in episode 208, without identifying a specific scene.
- What the cited sources do not establish: that King Princess or the show’s creators confirmed the song would accompany the intimate scene, or that the episode listing itself proves where the song plays.
The official soundtrack is also available as a physical release
Riot’s official Arcane store lists an Arcane Season 2 Standard LP, described as black vinyl with two printed inner sleeves. The store page showed it as sold out when accessed; stock and price can change, so the listing does not establish current availability.
