As of August 18, 2026, Apple’s schedule includes new series, returning seasons, films and a sports documentary. The headline figure of 14 is not an official Apple package: the company’s 2026 slate is broader and changing. This guide focuses on 14 selected titles—five recent releases and nine scheduled or listed for later in 2026—and labels what is new, what is returning, and what remains undated.
14 Apple TV titles to know in 2026
Apple’s official 2026 Originals listing and its February slate announcement confirm a mix of formats, rather than 14 brand-new series. Dates below are the dates Apple currently lists; release timing and availability can vary by country.
| Title | Type | Date or status | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Women in Blue, season two | Returning series | Released August 12 | A recent addition for viewers following the series. |
| Ted Lasso, season four | Returning series | Released August 5 | Not a new show; it is the latest season of the returning comedy. |
| Snoopy Presents: There’s No Place Like Home, Snoopy | Family special | Released July 31 | A recent Peanuts title for family viewing. |
| The Dink | Film | Released July 24 | Already available as of August 18. |
| Lucky | Series | Released July 15 | Already available as of August 18. |
| The Dynasty: UConn Huskies | Sports documentary | Scheduled August 21 | A near-term nonfiction pick for college basketball viewers. |
| Dark Matter, season two | Returning science-fiction series | Scheduled August 28 | A new season, not a first-season series premiere. |
| Mayday | Film | Scheduled September 4 | Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh star in an action buddy comedy set against the Cold War. |
| Last Seen | Thriller series | Scheduled September 9 | Apple lists Patrick Brammall among the project details; check the title page for the full premise and episode schedule. |
| Slow Horses, season six | Returning spy series | Scheduled September 16 | A new season of the established series. |
| Brothers | Comedy series | Scheduled September 23 | A new series rather than a returning season. |
| Matchbox The Movie | Film | Scheduled October 9 | John Cena leads an action adventure inspired by Mattel’s Matchbox toys. |
| Tenzing | Film | Theaters October 9; Apple TV October 16 | The theatrical date comes first; October 16 is the listed streaming date. |
| Way of the Warrior Kid | Film | November date disputed | Apple’s February announcement says November 20; its current listing shows November 25. |
This selection includes five titles that had already premiered by the cutoff and nine later or upcoming entries. It does not represent an Apple-announced “14-title” slate. The selected titles also do not include every Apple project for 2026.
What to prioritize among the upcoming releases
For returning-series fans
Dark Matter season two and Slow Horses season six are the clearest choices if you already follow those shows. Apple lists their premieres for August 28 and September 16, respectively. Both are continuations, so new viewers may want to start with the earlier seasons.

#1 Best Overall
- 4K High Dynamic Range (Dolby Vision and HDR10) for stunning picture quality
- Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 surround sound
- A10X Fusion chip for ultra-fast graphics and performance
- Voice search by asking the Siri Remote
For film audiences
Mayday pairs Ryan Reynolds and Kenneth Branagh in a story about a U.S. Navy pilot stranded behind enemy lines during the Cold War, who forms an unlikely alliance with a former KGB agent. Apple currently schedules it for September 4. Matchbox The Movie, scheduled for October 9, follows a former leader returning to his hometown and becoming caught up in an international pursuit. Apple describes it as an action adventure inspired by the toy line.
Tenzing has two distinct release dates: October 9 in theaters and October 16 on Apple TV. If you want to stream it, use the latter date rather than treating the theatrical opening as its streaming premiere.

For new series and nonfiction
Last Seen is listed as a thriller series for September 9, and Brothers as a new comedy series for September 23. The available calendar confirms those dates and formats, but readers should consult each title’s Apple page for fuller plot and episode details. The Dynasty: UConn Huskies, scheduled for August 21, is the most directly documentary-oriented selection in this list.
For family viewing
Way of the Warrior Kid follows a bullied middle-school student whose injured Navy SEAL uncle helps him build courage and confidence. Chris Pratt, Jude Hill and Linda Cardellini star. Its date is unresolved in Apple’s own materials: the February announcement gives November 20, while the current Originals listing shows November 25. Treat either date as provisional until Apple reconciles the listings. The Peanuts special Snoopy Presents: There’s No Place Like Home, Snoopy is already available; Snoopy Unleashed is listed for 2027, outside this 2026 selection.

More of Apple’s 2026 slate is already out
Apple’s February 3 slate announcement also previewed projects including Imperfect Women, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, Cape Fear, Widow’s Bay, Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, The Last Thing He Told Me season two and Outcome. Some had premiered by August 18. Because announcement does not mean a future release, check the live Apple Originals calendar to distinguish available titles from upcoming ones.

Apple’s February 2026 U.S. announcement listed the subscription at $12.99 per month and a seven-day trial for new subscribers. Prices and trial eligibility can vary by country and change over time; confirm the offer at Apple TV before signing up. Apple also described a three-month offer for eligible customers who buy and activate a qualifying new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV 4K or Mac, subject to terms and activation limits; it is a promotion, not a permanent subscription benefit.
- Subscribe now if you want recent releases or are ready for the August and September arrivals, especially if you already follow Dark Matter or Slow Horses.
- Wait and binge if only one later film or series interests you. A later subscription window can make more sense than paying through weeks when you have nothing to watch.
- Check your device first if you do not use Apple hardware. The app may already be available on your television, streaming stick, console or browser, so a dedicated Apple TV 4K is not necessarily required.
- Factor in sports selectively: Apple’s 2026 announcement included Formula 1, MLS and Friday Night Baseball, but rights and availability are geographically limited.
Apple often releases episodes weekly rather than making a full season available at once. The calendar establishes premiere dates, not necessarily the date every episode will be available. Release schedules can change, so use the title page for the latest timing in your region.
