The ensemble includes Elizabeth McGovern as the recruiter leading New York’s Talamasca, William Fichtner as a vampire tied to a London power struggle, and familiar figures from Anne Rice’s wider Immortal Universe.

Netflix Tudum’s cast guide identifies these principal actors and characters. The roles below are limited to those the guide maps directly; AMC+ lists additional performers but does not attach character names to each one.

What is Guy Anatole’s role in the story?
Guy is the point-of-view character: a recent law-school graduate whose mind-reading ability is difficult to control. Helen brings him into the Talamasca, an international organization that keeps watch on the immortal world. As Guy investigates his family’s supernatural history, he encounters the group’s secretive mission and questions where its loyalties lie. Netflix Tudum describes Burton as an informant who cautions him about the organization, while the AMC series overview frames Guy’s search for answers about his family as the story’s central thread.
How do Helen, Jasper, and the other characters fit together?
Talamasca leadership and allies
Helen runs the New York City Motherhouse and recruits Guy. Olive is identified as an agent, while Doris is described as one of Guy’s allies. The available character guide does not provide further detail about their duties or histories.

Supernatural figures and the London conflict
Jasper is a vampire who has taken control of the London Motherhouse, setting up a conflict between him and the organization. Burton is also a vampire, but serves as a Talamasca informant and offers Guy a warning about the group’s shadowy purpose.
A link to the wider Immortal Universe
Daniel Molloy is the journalist associated with the interview of Louis de Pointe du Lac in Interview with the Vampire. His presence connects Talamasca to the franchise’s existing characters rather than placing him among the New York agents at the center of Guy’s recruitment.

Is the series based on an Anne Rice book?
The Talamasca organization comes from Anne Rice’s fiction, particularly The Vampire Chronicles and Lives of the Mayfair Witches. The series uses that fictional world, but the cited sources do not identify its first season as an adaptation of one particular novel. Actor Nicholas Denton described the creative approach as making an original story while building within Rice’s world. That makes the books useful franchise context, not a one-to-one plot guide for the television series.
How many episodes are in the first season?
AMC announced a six-episode first season in 2024, and Netflix Tudum describes the released series as six episodes. AMC named John Lee Hancock and Mark Lafferty as writers, co-showrunners, and executive producers; Hancock was also set to direct. The project was announced as the third series in AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe.
